If we don't get some sort of announcement in the next couple hours, I don't think we'll be getting a direct tomorrow. :(

I don't think Palutena's Arrow had it's speed adjusted, I think it has to do more with the attack now having a decay side effect.

Remember, how attacks prioritize each other is usually dependent on the gap between the attacks power. If the attacks has 9% less or equal power gap, they will cancel each other out. But if the gap is 10% or higher, the stronger attack will out prioritize the weaker attack. The only exception is aerial attacks, where if two attacks collide with each other they will cancel each other out and both characters will received shared knockback.

As you know, tomorrow is Brawl's release anniversary in Japan. If previous anniversaries are anything to go by, I advise on not expecting anything special.

Pic of the day. When Palutena joins the battle, Pit's arrows are nerfed. Pit: "I liked it better when you were my Final Smash." :troll:

If there is going to be a Nintendo Direct tomorrow, it won't be announced until later tonight. There's supposed to be a special meeting around 8PM Eastern Time and if it's not announced by the end of that, there's not going to be one. Also, before people start freaking out, they have skipped months before. December 2012's Direct was postponed until January due to complications and with all the complications Nintendo is dealing with right now, I wouldn't be surprised this one has been postponed too.

Now that DS Virtual Console is confirmed, do you think it should help certain characters chances (especially those relevant to the DS)?

I expect a new Direct within the first 2 weeks of February.
I think there is going to be:

- Appologies to the Wii U consumer base.
- More Yoshi's 'Meh' Island Footage (At quick glance, kinda looks like meth lol)
- A reiteration that Mario Kart 8 is coming in May. Followed by new footage.
- A reiteration that DS games coming to Wii U.
- Pokebank appologies, re-release date end of March
- Bayonetta 2 'Launch Month' revealed
- New Sonic Game.
- X will be released in the Summer for Japan, outside releases marked for later that year. at least 1 region to get it early 2015.
- New System Update 'Launch Window' Teaser.
- New Wii Fit U features announced. Mobile phone app.
- Wii Ports Club to get boxing free voucher for the day. (Clarification: There are no typos in this sentence)
- More Donkey Kong Tropical: Freeze B-Roll footage.
- DKC Newcomer/Veteran/Newcomer&Veteran team.
- Late Summer teaser for Smash.

That's all I got

Smasboards suck
So... ****ing Mario Kart is releasing in May.

We aren't getting Smash Bros. this year, are we.
I'm leaning towards the Holidays. Nintendo is pretty bad when it comes to spacing out their games. Then they wonder why their system is having issues selling.

I don't know why people were expecting a Direct on January.

June 2013: E3 shows SSB4
July 2013: nothing
August 2013: Luigi
September 2013: nothing
October 2013: Sonic
November 2013: nothing
December 2013: Rosalina
January 2014: nothing so far
February 2014: based on history, there's probably gonna be one

Yeah, playing Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga on the 3DS would be awesome. Or any of the Megaman Battle Network games too.

OR, OR, OR!

FE7.
I guess that would be cool too. But I haven't had the chance to play any Fire Emblem games yet. Which I guess would be even more of a reason to go and get them. I could try and see if I can get the Gamecube FE soon-ish.

As long as your first FE game isn't Shadow Dragon, you should be set.

Which is rather ironic that I say that as that was my first FE game. But I’m weird. For most people new to the series it would scare them away since it is a remake of the first game and is very….. Rough.

Why? How bad is Shadow Dragon?

It isn't bad. I liked it when I first played it and it got me into the series.

But like I said, it's a remake of the first game and for a remake it lacks a certain amount of... polish you would expect of it. Espically considering games like Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn came out before it.

It's just not a good start for most people.

Ah...
If you couldn't tell, I haven't played much Fire Emblem (I'm not that big into JRPG's).

Shadow Dragon, being the remake of the first game in the series and the first game Marth was in, is iconic. But it's tough as hell, so I wouldn't start with it. (Take it from a person that beat Awakening's Lunatic+ Mode, Shadow Dragon starts approaching that difficulty).

Nothing Savestates (Restore Points) can't fix!
...The Wii U has Savestates on the Virtual Console...
...Right?...

3DS has these save-states too right? I haven't played many older games on there myself honestly.

I wouldn't go that far. Lunatic+ is an entirely different thing due to how reliant is on RNG to be hard.

It only seems harder because it is less polished then it could have been and the inclusion of the weapon triangle with out any attempt to balance it into the game make it seem harder then it is. If you know what your doing with the game though it's not overly difficult.

And the GBA games, IIRC.
They don't?
Well, to be fair. They do have save files... It'd be kinda redundant to have both (I understand that some GBC, NES, ect. games have save files, but the majority of them don't)...
