Maybe in North America... But I think Gyromite came out on July or August of 1985 in Japan.

It's North American Anniversary is the 18th of October (28 years), but its' Japanese Anniversary was back in August.

I doubt Sakurai and co really care that much about Gyromite's 328th North American release date Anniversary though.

Considering the game wasn't monumental, it isn't worth having a thing for.

Also, Super Mario Bros.' and the NES' 28th anniversary (of its' Japanese release date) was just 12 days ago.

Also, fun fact: THAT WAS THE DAY PEACH WAS REVEALED!!! (that was also her first game)

I don't see what's so wrong with Impa. I think she'd be a great character, but only as a standalone slot. I don't want her to be Zelda's new Down B. That'd be plain redundant.

I can't help but pity Diddy (heh) if he actually means it. When I talked seriously about Victini in the past, people made up the dumbest reasons for him not being included, like Zoroark being on that bw2 art, which literally meant nothing. I wound up leaving smashboards for a long time because of that nonsense.

Nowadays, I take nothing said here seriously because its mostly coming out of the same people who bashed Victini.

Honestly at this point I think he knows we don't care and he's trying to convert all the young ones into believing sheik should somehow get lost.

If Impa is good enough to even make it into the game as is, she's good enough for her own slot. Honestly, she's never appeared in Smash in any possible way thus far. Why give her the weakest possible character placement here? She's not good enough for her own slot? It's just a disgrace to her character. Why would she be partnered with Adult Zelda? She protects Young Zelda only. I could see her even teaming up with a Toon Zelda since at least that's a Child version of the Princess and makes some lick of sense.

Im sure toon link and luigi were revealed just for special cases

Besides when sonic and snake were revealed the first time did you think they were starters the. They ended up being unlockable i think unlockable characters will get special cases if the game is good enough or if the Anniversary is worthy enough

Im positive unlockable characters will stay besides smash bros i introduce the Challenger approaching pictures on the smash Brothers game when you try to unlock the character

The only 2 characters that will commence me that unlockable are gone is falco and ganondorf are revealed early

It could be very possible that Sakurai is probably planning to revisit Toon Zelda thus he decided to bring Toon Link back early so he could work and finish her off. After all, he did go back to working on Villager in Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS and he was also planned for Brawl. So I can definitely see Toon Zelda as a realistic possibility.

I know people have a disdain towards clones and all but so long as Tetra tags along with her and she has an original moveset of her own than I'm more than happy to see Toon Zelda join the fray. Toon Zelda is one of my favourite Zelda's too so I'm cool with her.

Just don't give us Toon Sheik...
