Still, I think Mewtwo, K. Rool, Ridley, and Little Mac are still shoe-ins... if Sakurai knows what is good for smash, which I always will doubt after the disaster that I call Brawl.

My post wasn't directed at you in particular, just anyone contributing to the building tension, flaming, and name-calling, Chrono included. However just because he said something insulting, doesn't mean it justifies others to do so as well. If he's wrong, other people doing something similar doesn't make them right, he'd get infractions just as anybody else would.

Maybe shoe-ins wasn't the right word, but very likely.

As much as Toise's theory on sales don't matter, so far, the opposite is true. We got a franchise with like Iunno 100 million copies sold, a franchise with over 40 million copies sold, and a franchise with over 25 million copies sold getting their first playable characters in smash.

I dunno about you, but I expect that to make up the majority of the rest of the newcomers.

Basically, what Shortie linked was a "pool" of characters that are available to Nintendo for use in the Smash series. All the characters will either be playable or assist trophies - based on their series (height of popularity, relativity, and their move-set potential).

Honestly I'd much prefer Dark Samus over any other contender for Metroid's second spot, even before ZSS and Ridley. DS would be a great way to represent the Prime games and would have a fun, floaty moveset. Preferably she'd appear in her creepy, organic MP2 form, but she looks great in MP3 too.

Higgs isn't nearly as important to the Metroid franchise so I don't think he has much of a chance. I wouldn't mind him though, as he's one of the few good things about Other M.

If Dark Samus got in, I would think Dark Pit should get in as well. Don't know anything about anthony higgs but i don't like his helmet. makes it hard to make an icon for the character. It looks really awkward to me.

Just wait till Other M 2 will have it's own Anthony side quests. And even has a full Anthony story mode after you complete the game.

I have to say... if Sheik wasn't a part of Smash... you definitely would have more support for Impa. People can deny it all they want, and she still wouldn't be a top choice or the most supported character or anything... but it's true.
(ofc you'd probably also have a bit more support for Impa if you hadn't ODd on talking about her and pretty much single-handedly created a stigma against her )

And if Impa actually had been included instead of Sheik? (not as part of Zelda but as her own character)

Mewtwo has a ton of potential to change. He already has a form which can allow for an entire new move set and they could also tweak his original form as well. Little Mac is unique because being a punching-only character makes him stand out from the rest, which is something that can't be said for anyone.

As for Pac-Man, I don't care that he's super iconic. He's still more washed out than Mega Man was and if we're going by nostalgia, the only memory I have of playing Pac-Man outside of the arcade are Pac-Man World 2 and Pac-Man Fever and I didn't care for those game very much. As for movesets, if Sakurai truly think Pac-Man is worth including, he better really bring it with him or he's just going to end up as a waste of a slot.

I agree Mewtwo has potential and he doesn't need to use his new form to tap it (although I wouldn't mind). But because he was already in, I am just not sure if this would increase or decrease excitement when he is revealed.

You can say Megaman is washed out, but look at his moveset and playstyle. It is fantastic. It oozes with flavor. Half his attacks are projectiles and all of his specials (if you include Rush Up B in the air as a projectile, can it hit people below like Sonic's Up special?).

Pacman's movements and game strategy offers many options. Little Mac, I feel, does not really offer much for me in terms of flavor. I don't think that ALL PUNCHING moves is a good selling point.

If it would be okay to say, I don't really mind who makes it too much... just as long as they try their best to make as many characters as they can unique and interesting, as well as both in style of their own series' where they rightfully deserve to be represented AND have a Smash Bros. flavour of non-sense to them, if that makes sense. Sure, this end has wishes, and it would be a bit disappointing if there are any missed opportunities in this end's eyes, but if it's what must be done, no matter if the reasoning is revealed or not, then it's what must be done. The same goes for stages, music and all of that as much as I can dream

But that's just me, and what you guys are looking forward to is understandable, but also none of my business to question

His down-B is amazing when used in a combo against a VERY hurt enemy. I always spammed it when I was younger.

New tier list was decided on on July 26th. And yeah, I think Axe had something to do with this.

Young Link is also now 'King of the Low Tiers' as the highest Mid Tier character. Before, this was Link.

Mewtwo still being lower than Roy and Zelda bugs me though.

Yeah, it seems pretty unlikely that Sakurai would be so upfront with his references to Ridley if Ridley were to still be an unrevealed playable character.

I mean, it could still happen... but I'm definitely not expecting it.

Someone earlier mentioned that there is a pretty sizable crack on the right hand side of the pic, where Ridley actually enters the level in Other M.

Between these two things, I think I can put 2 and 2 together. Wouldn't mind to be proven wrong.
