So guys, what do you think of the Wii U's sales numbers in the last 3 months? It sold only 160,000 combined units in the months of April, May, and June. In Europe, less than 10,000 units were sold in the last three months. Major retailers like Gamestop, Target, K-Mart, and ASDA have stopped carrying the Basic Model. And surprisingly, despite all this bad news, Nintendo managed to make a profit. Thoughts?

Meanwhile, the Melee Evo stream peaked around 135,000 different viewers (in terms of devices), which if you count the individuals watching per screen, is probably higher.

Yes Chu, that is proof that more people watched Melee than bought a WiiU in a 3 month span.

If all those people bought WiiU's, the WiiU sales for that period would have easily doubled, if not tripled.

"Competitive gaming" and "Competitive smashers" are dead/dying/don't matter indeed.

Eh, that was a cute picture. I'm kinda getting tired of this whole Dojo thing; I wish Sakurai either saved the information for say March of 2014 and dedicated the "cute" stuff/further details of revealed stuff for now entirely.

I do love the Street Fighter reference, which makes me wonder if Capcom will (try to) put anything Street Fighter-related in Super Smash Bros. WiiU and 3DS...

Wii Fit Trainer was pretty much a character nobody expected. Hardcore speculation often comes up with some rather absurd things all of the time, even sometimes dropping onto very far-fetched ideas. But oddly, no one saw Wii Fit Trainer. Absolutely no one. It's baffling because these are the same people that know about Hakkun and Sheriff.

From 2 games that sold roughly double what Brawl sold no less, aka a 45 million copy plus selling franchise with only 2 entries thus far no less.

We really ought to expect more Mario Kart and Wii Sports stuff this time around. Heck, we might even get a Wii Play stage.

Oh, and for the record, I would not rule out a crazy idea like a playable Nintendog at all after the Wii Fit Trainer.

Look closely at Mario and Megaman's shoes and you'll see that they have a faint blurred black outline around them. Interesting.

One of Mario's overall buttons looks slightly distorted, too. If it was a flat texture, then I could see it distorting with the model, but...

Like I said, I don't rule out anything anymore, including any rules being broken. Of course, that doesn't mean I can't bet against them!

But yeah, Street Fighter characters could be trophies, stickers, bosses, or heck, part of a stage. I would personally love to see the 3rd party companies' worlds expanded in smash (mostly just via stickers and trophies). Collecting Ecco the Dolphin, Bomberman, Guile (Street Fighter), and Dracula (Castlevania) trophies in the same game would be amazing, and quite frankly would be an added "appeal" of Smash Brothers to me as a seriously dedicated fan.

I wouldn't rule it out, but honestly, I don't expect to see another newcomer until November at the earliest, May 2014 at the latest.

Saying that there is a higher than normal chance of a newcomer on Sakurai's birthday next year at least makes sense, though, since we will inevitably have had at least 2 or 3 more newcomers revealed by then.

What I was expecting was either a random character picture or some picture of Pit or Kiby though.
