Super Champ Combo live blog and broadcast

UPDATE:

I will be broadcasting LIVE from Super Champ Combo this weekend as part of Get Your Tournament coverage; it will be on the Operator11 portal.

Here are the scheduled broadcast times:
Saturday: 5-5:45 p.m.
Sunday: 1:15-2 p.m.
Those times would coincide with the tournament's divisional play.

For those who haven't seen the broadcasts I've done, it's pretty much cut and dry. No play-by-play unless needed. I don't say much, and people have told me I accentuate every word, "Gimpyfish is bowwwwserrrr, Mango is jigggalllleepuff. Round 2. Best of 3."

MLG will take care of the rest of video capturing, and you can watch the matches they capture on their Video on Demand (which is FREEEEEE!!!)

If you can't watch the matches at those times, I will have a blog running a 100-meter dash throughout the weekend.

About recording in general
Yes, you can record stuff with your video camera. No, you cannot use a VCR to record tournament matches. You can use one to record friendlies all you want, but all tournament matches are property of MLG and will be put on VoD at their discretion. I'm fairly certain shaky-cam recording tournament matches will be ok, but I'll have to clear it with JV.

to any1 concern about not seeing the matches, VOD is now free so u just have to register a free account at mlg for it.

I'm glad Glen is doing live blog because oc3 live blog was too good. So I hope this one will be as good or better. Go Glen!!!

Glenn: I talked to JV and he said he was ok with you broadcasting pools & non-"zomg" matches in bracket. Anything quarterfinals or later is definitely off limits, and there may be some other notable matches they'll ask you to lay off, but otherwise you're ok to broadcast.

Thanks to Neal and JV, here's how it will go down for me:

I will broadcast both days; HOWEVER, FOR ONLY 45 minutes

Saturday: 5-5:45 p.m.
Sunday: 1:15-2 p.m.

Now according to the schedule, this is when divisional play is taking place. You can watch it on Operator11, and I'll also have a feed connected to Get Your Tournament.

For the most part, I'll be live blogging from the tournament, so if you really want to get the goods, that's the place to go.
