So apparently Melee's Top 32 all floated through pools while nobody at Smash 4 will.
They implied Melee and Smash 4 have different TO's so different decisions were made, but still.
Twitter folks seem to get the wrong idea and call things such as "favoritism". And I can't blame them.

This weekend is also the weekend of OzHadou Nationals 14, a fighting game major in Sydney, Australia (also it's part of the Capcom Pro Tour and Daigo + K-Brad will be there if that's what you're in to).

This event will feature the finest Australian talent including but not limited to NVO | Waveguider, Extra, Jaice, MM, Killy, cmk and many more, not least of all two of the regular contributors to the competitive impressions thread NVO | Ghost and Luco! I highly encourage everyone to tune in.

EDIT: I somehow forgot to mention @Shaya who will be competing this weekend in the same vein as Luco and Ghost ;-;

This man Oisiitofu went through 2 Sonics in a row and still continued his winners run. He and Some are really good at this matchup man. Tofu beating 9B is also pretty good.

Considering that Yoshidora had to play Ron in his second round and that this was his 1st offline tournament, I'd say that he did pretty well. Managed to beat Atelier and A and in the sets he lost, he went 1-2.

I'm also really impressed with HIKARU's run. The dude beat Oisiitofu, Earth, ikep, Ri-ma, and Kisha. Really looks like DK can handle anything.

Feeling a bit sick from lack of sleep haha. Anyway, day 1 of OHN done, here's some big upsets as well as some minor ones from us after pools:

- Andre (#5 SA atm) put Killy (#1 NSW atm) into losers during pools.
- Joe (assumed mid-level NSW player but we're reconsidering that all now) put Jaice (#2 Qld) into losers during pools. JOE THO! He also technically upset Yehya (#14 Vic)
- Seymourbutts (#10 Qld) put CMK (#6 WA) into losers in pools.
- Zesco (assumed mid-level NSW player) put Duon (#4 Vic) into losers.

Minor upsets:
- Kira (formerly NSW PR) knocked out Read (#2 WA)
- Nothing (#13 Vic) knocked out Scarpian (#6 NSW)

Unless the bracket has changed Esam Is on a Collison course with anti which will be interesting. If he loses he will likely face marss to get into top 8 losers.

4 sonics in top 32 is pretty good. Kels and 6wx have a decent chance of beating their opponents although Dath did have that recent win against static manny.

Manny vs anti will be an interesting one. We've heard that campy sonic beats mario so I would guess anti will go zss or cloud in this match.

Also a Lucina made it into top 32 so that's cool and she/he will be facing peach who noticeably struggles with disjoints.
