Subspace Emissary might not be alone

Way is it called "Adventure Mode: The Supspace Emissary"? Here's my slighty insane guess;
after beating The Subspace Emissary, you unlock the sequal, Adventure Mode: The Subspace Seed, another version, complete with its own save file!

Does Subspace Emissary have saves?

Interesting...I just thought it'd be a huge Adventure mode. That's really cool.

With all the effort that's going into SSE, I HIGHLY doubt there will be anything else to Adventure Mode. I mean it's not like we NEED anything else. SSE clocks in at like 10 hours. That's longer than some whole games*cough*cough*Zone of the Enders*cough*

There could be other modes, but I doubt it would be a whole new story. Maybe something like Boss Battles only, Speed Run, etc.

I thought of something like Kirby Superstar being put in. Like, there's one big adventure (SSE) then a heap of smaller ones. I dunno, just a random idea.

Cool idea, but I see it as very very unlikely. As others have stated, the SSE is 10 hours in itself, and with everything else there is to do in the game, that should be plenty of Adventure Mode for any smasher.

Well, some prophet did say there was a Subspace emmisary EP 2, not that i care, but just for the sake of argument.

your comparing SSE to a game that came out 6 years ago and is widely known for being short.. That's like saying SSE is awesome because it's longer than Super Mario Bros..

I doubt this theory is correct.. The whole Adventure Mode thing is just indicative of what the mode is.. Also note that the dojo design was done way before SSE was even announced, so of course they had to keep and adventure mode tab and whatnot

It's possible. If there is, it won't be nearly as big as the Subspace Emissary, though.

At the very least I'm seeing this under the Single Player Menu:

1) Classic
2) Adventure
-Subspace Emissary
-Boss Battle Gauntlet*
3) Event Match
4) Training
5) All-Star Mode/Knockout Challenge*
6) Stadium
-Home Run Contest
-Break The Targets
-Multi-Man Melee

*Unlockable after accomplishing certain things.

So, while I don't think that there's going to be a SSE:2 or anything like that, re-fighting the bosses will appear in a Gauntlet challenge.

Why not?

Considering that the SSE is basically looking to be Kirby's Superstar 2, Boss Gauntlets were a staple of the Kirby Series (I believe every single platformer Kirby game to date has one) and that Sakurai is Mr. Kirby, I'm seeing it as more likely than a single boss battle select from a menu.

Hey, this IS just a guess, but yeah, there probably will be a Boss Gauntlet.

So the single player adventure mode...AND its sequel exist on the SAME game...AWESOME maybe that would be how unlockables fit in

I think it'd be cool to have Classic Adventure, it's the same exact thing as it was in Melee, just improved graphics, and you could play it with the new characters. You could get some unlockables by playing it.

Nothing too special, but I would find that cool.

This is because they have a classic adventure mode too...liek that in melee...that's me guess.
goin to have to agree with this, and i hope its true, adventure mode in melee was fun, and hopefully they have a "Adventure Mode: Classic" or something like that

I think this would be pretty neat, but not at all probable. After completing SSE, you unlock the melee adventure mode, and after completing melee adventure mode in normal, you get the SSB64 classic mode. That would be awesome. Yes, the same, old looking stages, but not the characters. Master hand would be the same from the old game, and etc. The only thing that will change in it is the characters. Not the boss/sub bosses, just the characters. :)

They'll just scum each other up. One will make the other seem worse, the other makes the other seem a lot worse.

What are the possibilities of a second, downloaded adventure mode down the line?

As others have said, I'm thinking there might be an Adventure Mode similar to the one in Melee.

Why make a sequel when the original is the WHOLE story? If they wanted more then instead of making a "Sequel" they'd just make the first one bigger. Sorry but this thread fails...
