Stupid laser question.

K, I'm rather embarrassed by this. Falco's my other main alongside DDD - I can do all the fancy laser tricks, all the DAC stuff, etc etc. But I don't know how to make Falco fire his laser constantly while he's grounded. Maybe my timing's ********, maybe I'm not pressing buttons right, maybe I just suck, iunno. All I know is that as a result of this, any laserlock that I manage to pull off lasts for only like 5 lasers before my opponent gets back up and lols at me.

When I try to laserlock, I mash B as fast as my fingers will let me while trying to maintain a consistent rhythm. However, that doesn't seem to work. T_T Is there a specific way to input or do I just suck?

Lol, I actually have this same problem sometimes.

Don't necessarily spam as fast as possible, rhythm is more important than speed. Hit B as fast as you can while maintaining a constant rhythm. Just practice it and you'll get it.

I don't think spamming b is the most effective way, although atm it is the most effective way for me since i havent practiced the timing. I believe i heard the buffer system will allow you to input an action 12 frames before your previous action ends, so that means you have to press b again no earlier than 1/5 of a second before falco puts his gun away and of course not after falco puts his gun away.

Timing found, problem solved, I went to test what the timing is for this and you don't have to press it fast at all, although it is just a tiny bit strict. OK all you have to do is press B at the same time you hear the shooting sound for the previous laser, once you get the rhythm going it's even easier.
Personally i will still be spamming B until I have this timing down 100%, but that shouldnt be too long, it's really not that hard.

Umm I press it twice in the time that the next one comes out.
Let me try to explain it.

[laser+press] (press) [laser+press] (press)

make sense?

makes sense but you could make it easier by getting rid of your half beat and just going with the whole beat of the laser

press b pretty fast but not as fast as you can or you won't be able to keep you speed so just press it fast enough to be able to keep the same speed until your opponent reaches the edge. if your arms start hurting more and more it means you're doing it right :)
