True, but the one seen is still not possessed, which means it is not really related to Zelda.
I just don't really think that the assist trophy is there to hint at a Toon Zelda announcement, considering that it is isn't really tied to Toon Zelda, and it may just be an assist to complement Toon Link. After all, it is one of the first "Toon series" potential assists to come to mind, so maybe it's just there to give more variaty to the Zelda assists.

Second kid Icarus rep: the 22nd of march was the anniversary for Kid Icarus: Uprising. A day before it Phosphora was confirmed as a trophy. Phosphora seems to be a strange choice for this kind of anniversary. Why didn't they show some of the more important characters, like Palutena, Medusa or Hades? Maybe they have more important roles and are saved for later.

Mii: Tomodachis collection stage, wuhu island and find mii stage. An no miis as a background element. Why wouldn't they be background elements in those stages, if they weren't playable?

There will be two Mario newcomers: Rosalina and Toad.

Sakurai said he doesn't want to add fighting game characters to Smash... that rules out Tekken and Soulcalibur characters... Pac-Man confirmed.

Since were grasping at straws, I still feel Sakurai is making the Labrador Retriever as playable while he's using the other breed as a distraction, then no one will see the puppy coming at all.

I have been genuinely thinking about that for some time. I would not be surprised if a Nintendog is a newcomer.

I also liked someone’s post about Captain Rainbow. It makes sense. I wouldn’t mind his inclusion.

Here's some more straws to grasp.

Rosalina was only revealed after all the other characters in her series were. The only other series that have done so thus far are Donkey Kong, Kid Icarus and Pikmin. The ones that are close are Metroid (Zero Suit Samus) and Kirby (Meta Knight.)

I was actually shocked that Golden Sun was one of the first announced VC games. It has seemed like Nintendo was completely ignoring that series for a while now, so it gives me hope that they're using it again. I hope it sells well...

Isaac was one of the few characters (along with little Mac) that I thought was screwed with Brawl... and I've been hoping he'll be in ssb4, but afraid because I thought his series was dead. Now I have a smidgen of hope again. Honestly a reboot of Golden Sun would be amazing...


As for Andy... sure why not? I have no idea how they'd put a moveset on that, especially with their "no guns" rule, but I'm all for it because it'd be interesting as anything.

With the notice of Tom Nook, niether has Mr. Resetti, K K Slider or Isabelle. Mr Resetti might still be an Assist Trophy, so him not beiong on the stage make sense and if Sakurai takes the Pic of the Day at the time that matchs when he does, then that would make sense why we haven't seen K K Slider. He usually takes it in the morning or midday. Isabelle is still in the running, even though she was in Villager's artwork, much like how Nook was in the trailer.

Palutena: Widely-accepted as playable and now, a possible leak of her on the 3DS and Palutena's Temple stage for Wii U. Enough said.
Takamaru: Similar to Little Mac for the West, Takamaru would best fit the East. He's also a popular retro choice and even got a minigame in Nintendo Land.
Tom Nook: While he may not become playable (I doubt it), he was shown in the first trailer and hasn't been seen on the Animal Crossing stage yet...
Mii: Wuhu Island is a Wii U stage. Tomodachi Collection: New Life and Find Mii II are also getting stage representation on the 3DS.

The only reason captain rainbow got hinted is because of the fat little mac trophy and that's from his game

I'm not the only one that noticed this! Perhaps the only problem with this theory is that Kid Icarus and Pikmin have been waiting for a newcomer since last summer, then again, Palutena is more likely to get in than a Pikmin character (seriously, how many Pikmin teases have we gotten in the past few months? Lol)
