I'm not one of the Olimainers who does that. My secondaries are Ness, Kirby, Pit, Diddy, ROB, and (quite possibly) ICs. Performance is pretty much coincidental except for ROB--whose case is excusable because everybody else among them has lower weight than Mario, though they may be able to make up for it with lower fall speed. (ROB has high weight and low fall speed--granted this may turn into a disadvantage, but ROB's recovery is still very good.)

I think it would be a good idea to petition Nintendo/HAL for a priority decay concept. It would be a lot easier for them to even out characters. And you can't tell me Meta Knight, who carries around a claymore about his size with one arm, won't be affected.

THIS IS A GAME ABOUT MATCHUPS.

I play metaknight for Oli's bad matchups (wario, marth, wolf, fox etc) and play Oli for the good \ neutral ones.

I play Marth and Snake for Olimar's bad matchups, Ice Climbers for R.O.B. and play Olimar for the good ones.
Although MK has few bad matchups, it's good to learn more than one character, otherwise people will specifically practice against MK.

I think people will specifically practise against Meta Knight anyway. (Yes, that typo is intentional. Still gotta make fun of Bimmy & Jimmy Lee 3 Double Dragon 3.) If Meta Knight is truly broken from sickening priority on top of the tornado, it won't make a difference.

Luckily, I'm basically already trying to follow your plan to the best of my ability except trying to technique run BB Intense with Oli. Ness as my #2 and all.

Actually, my own plan would be to break the tier system AND the matchup system into pieces.

Anyway, DanGR, I have AIM now. "Master Knight DH" would be who you want to look for.

About the dropping of Olimar in the tourney results, I generally took out ones that I placed in just so that he'd drop. :D
Ever since Olimar came out I tried to make him look bad just so that they wouldn't practice against him.
Now, things changed, but back a couple months ago, M2K didn't even know how to get pikmin off. -sighs at how he used to land 2 white pikmin on him and then grab-.

Let's learn how to fight Meta Knight. And if he really is broken, there's always petitioning Sakurai for priority decay in a future installment.

Let me think up some rules for it:
*Each attack would increase a value we shall call "Priority Decay" by 2 to 6 depending on the attack.
*Priority Decay value would cap at 100.
*Each character would have a Priority Decay limit. (Meta Knight's would be very low.) Each point pass that would decrease Priority by 0.5%.
*Every 1.5 seconds, the PD value would go down by 1 point. (This means Meta Knight would still be able to work with dealing 150% ridiculously fast, but given his destroyed priority, he'll be very open for harassment without attacks with which to defend himself, and his low weight AND high fall speed will see to it that he'll have to earn wins now.)
*Also, for each time an attack that is used is in the attack queue, the PD would be increased by 50%. (Say if the Forward Smash is in the queue 6 times, PD will be quadrupled. Or 4 times and it's tripled.)

These values may be changed however necessary to minimize the influence to balancing characters. But you see where I'm going with this.
