I'll vouch for Boo. Not what I expected. He has the best non-wavedashing luigi I have ever played (we gotta rock another luigi v. jigglypuff match sometime), and his falco and ganondorf can get away with missing an l-cancel on a shffled aerial here or there as long as he keeps on getting two or three 40% spike KOs per game.
My marth was feeling under the weather, but Nils got through my falco too, and my falco was playing alright. And he seemed like a good guy.

I demand a rematch once my marth is sorted out. You know where I live now.

im playing with taki today at somepoint we might even play some smash 64 although our timing will be off im sure. but yeah i'll see how good he is and maybe cowboy can join me because all 3 of us are within walking distance to each other. i will be busier once i start going to school again but any day this weekend besides sunday could be good for having a big smashfest. and my house is always open although i dont have the best tv setup and youd have to bring controllers

this goes for anybody who wants to play today call me around 2 o clock that means taki and fzan and possibly cowboy. if we do it at my house sure you can bring some of your friends as long as they play smash. and i have 2 controllers so if taki and fzan bring their own we will have enough for everyone. you could also possibly meet the people i smash with although theyve ben getting pissed off lately because i keep winning. for anyone who might not have it my cell is 352 4019

Smash fest---ish type thing

ATTENTION--- all Steel City members. a friend of mines just let me know that he is hosting something at his house on saturday... thats this saturday. there should be a decent turnout, and alot of people from the penn hills area will be there.

**this will be ther first of the weekly tier matches. if you dont attend your positin on the team ladder will be dropped, and you will have to work yourself back up on the list. **

also i know that farzan is interested in playing with us. all i have to say to that is come on... that would be an excellent chance for our crew to play one of pgh's top players, and get some invaluable experience and possibly learn more about the game.

it starts at 12:00, but you should show up anytime between then and around 1:00ish. This should be good fun, and also a great chance for the crew to play together.

**also, bring money for pizza, this is very,very important. if you dont then you wont eat**

i dont want to post the adress and stuff on the net, so you can send me a pm if you want to come and for more info.(or call me if you have my number).

they will be playing lots of different games as well if you guys are interested in tekken and soul caliber and stuff

SCT and SCS members are gathering at tim's house this week. This will probably be mostly penn hills people. We will be playing alot of fighting games and watching movies all day. My cell 412 913 1116

i know, tim tim told me earlier. i didnt know it was his b-day though. so it may not be neccesary to bring pizza money, but i would do it just in case.saturday would be a good chance to assess our crew's talent. me and a member of steel city tekken are going to coordinate some things like t-shirts and traveling later. so this crew experience should be a good one with lots of competition and fun.

I'm back from college and thus back in Monroeville so I'll be able to be show my face hopefully. I'll probably really start smashing when I get a car in a couple of weeks.

Who ended up winning the con tourney? I dipped out as soon as I lost my second match. Couldnt stand being around smelly geeks anymore. For anyone who was at the con, I was the guy that looked like he spent the whole night before blowing lines while watching cartoon network over rap music.

I guess it's only right that I at least make one post in here....although the creator of this thread is sitting right here....Anyway, more than likely I'll be making the "Team meeting" on Saturday. I'll probably be late but hey....I have an excuse....I'm a black guy. And you know how us black folk are always late...

yo i love blowin lines and watching cartoons and listening to rap too. well not exactly but anyways i played a lot today with taki and cowb, it was fun we're all on the same basic skill level but i was especially impressed with taki's fox and his shinespiking. it was also wierd that fox is the ONLY char he plays with.... at all.... i think he played once as falco but he played the same basic game as he would've with fox and it didnt really work. been smashing nonstop recently and i finally have school starting up again tommorow but im looking forward to saturday and now im not as scared to play yinz as i was before after seeing that i could hold my own with these guys. i also realized that my ganon is something pretty unique and im going to focus on using him so no more drill kicks and shb's for a while. so i dont really know which of you tim is but i guess ill just call either sweetooth or hardcase for more concrete info on the saturday thing.

yup, thats pretty cool boo...but tim is a friend of hardcase and me. he lives in penn hills, and so far there is about 3 of us going (3 is kinda good considering we only have 7). its just good that you guys live close because that way you can get in practice. i usually practice with hardcase, tenshi, and emperor on a regular basis

I didnt really get to see Cowboyardee play much, but i got the feeling that he was a good player, his marth was good (although he had trouble starting a combo with Boo's Ganon).

All i can say about Boo's gannon is that it is poosibly one of the best i have seen. His falco is even better. Although boo doesnt know waveshining, wave dashin etc. he can shorthop like crazy, which is really annoying being against falco(also repetitive Gannon ShortHop Fas Fall Meteor). His gannon is a meteor master, he was able to get me numerous times during my illusion!

Now that i've played them ive figured that i had to step up my game a bit. I made a lot of careless mistakes.

yeah, I'd like to see Boo's ganon, im kinda in a similar boat as him because I dont do any of the special crap in the game like wave dashing and wave this and wave that l-cancel and such. If I would perform those I would become a better player than I am now. I'd like to go to the tournament this weekend, but I am unable to due to something else. I know I'll have a low ranking on the ladder, but I dont care as much as other people do. Last Monday I just found out that its 3 out of 5, never knew that, there are probably other things I never heard of before, at least it gives a chance for both people to see the game play of their opponent's best player. vs.

i told you that the only reason we did 3 out of 5 was because it was only us 2 playing. if it was a tournament it would have been 2 out of 3. but when we do ladder matches its gonna be best 3 out of 5. i didnt matter though, because i would have still won . but its not like people actually have to care about the tier ladder. i know i care, because im a competative person... basically, since i dont know of many crews in pgh it adds a little competative spirit to the crew

farzan -- yep, although it depends on how many of the crew members show up. right now theres about 3 and emperor gannon cant come so hes out for now, and im still waiting on everyone else to let me know. oh, and taki is trying to come as well. everyone is welcome though

As far as going on saturday, it depends on how long you guys are gonna play. I have work on saturday, so the earliest I can get over there is about 4:30. Let me know.

The squirrel hill section of SCS is looking pretty tight. I didn't get to play Taki 1 v 1 but his fox looked good. Lots and lots of shinespikes -- actually all three of us were edgeguarding like crazy -- we played free for alls and spent half time with all three of us way off the edge trying to screw eachother.

And after playing boo again, i can safely say that he's gonna be freakin awesome (he's pretty **** good already) once his luigi starts wavedashing and his falco starts l-canceling.

Yep Taki's fox is pretty good (yeah I've played him a lot), too bad I can't get him to play as any other characters though.
Anyways, I'm about as good as Taki and I wouldn't mind playing with you guys sometime.

Nothin wrong with playin only fox, in fact the only time I play fox the way I want is when I only play fox for a while.

Rob - more than likely people will still be there for a while. although emperor gannon wont be there for that match you guys wanted to have. it should be pretty fun though. and yea, its good that you squirrel hill guys get to play each other on a regular basis though.
