I didn't get to play Smash with anyone this weekend.


I guess everyone was busy or something.

Cybercon was awsome except for the fact that i DIDNT need to bring the TV. ****ing liying *******s... >.> That and that little piss ant crash that is going to make my insurance rise up to god knows what now.

Other than those two little details it was alot an awsome weekend. Got some really good GnW practice.

Oh ill be there tobg this thanksgiving to end ur suburbuan vacation. Naka, ur GnW is like heaven. Next time, do complete ownage with a down tilt into a 9 hammer. It happens sometimes. Its called judgement I think. But into fair is much more reliable.

Lol, the owage is the "tap" against a fox at the bottom of the stage, and then recovering.

Tap=Fair, and hitting after the attack is pulled out. I did it against taki a few times, ask him about it and he will tell you it is hella annoying.

Whenever I play GnW, I dont even run, I just wavedash around...*sniff* its so beutifull. But I recently noticed that he has an insane recovery. Its like he's the edge guard king.

i used to hate this game just for the fact taht all i have to play against now that roki moved is taki, which is really unfun since he always jus uses falcon/fox/falco but now i started playing with swiftbass and sometimes other ppl on saturdays. so i always love to see taki getting owned

Pick up falcon as a secondary, he's fast to learn and good combos in a ditto. Or complete humiliation with a Shffle'd Dai into falcon punch into WTF!

Lol. I loved those chaingrabs. Can someone tell me that if DI is included in the equation, can you chain grab with bowser's down throw on fox. Ive only done it on comps.

If they hit the DI right they can get free, but it is still catchable. Just hard as hell to catch. IF you want you can D-toss to Up-tilt, and continue it that way. Otherwise just Fsmash if he DIs.

If today's tourney was any indication, apparently just get ***** game 1, then pick mario for the next two games to beat Taki. Hahahahaha, that match was so sweet, if any of yall saw it too, you know what I mean. . . hilarious. That guy has potential, I wish he'd learn to wd and stuff, he could be REALLY good, his spacing and feel for the game are both just so good.

whether I have any support at PITT or not I would still like to take whoever (taki, nakamaru, etc ) and try to topple the dynasty known as CMU someday. Its a fun idea, we should try it this friday.

yes, I knocked him out in the losers bracket, and playing him was a lot like playing a less experienced alex. If he could incorperate WD and LCancel into his game, he could definately get up to point where I really wouldn't want to run into him in the brackets.

i believe hes the guy with the S/N hatake kakashi. and I believe him and A-laon came together to the last two. Like I wouldnt be surprised if I saw a few more marios show up next month. Seems as if space animals are the metagame, but I dont think any character will get metagamed against as hard as shiek.....so hard to the point that she doesnt win tourneys anymore.

I guess ii'll try and hunt some ppl down that I dont have to teach anything. I think i'll be happy if i run into someone who has heard of isai etc and has at least started an account on the boards. so many wannabes here, but out of 20,000 theres has to be a fanbase somewhere.

But yeah, thanks for the clarification on the name, PockyD and Swift. I was surprised you guys would think Stephone is an Alex-in-the-making, 'cause they play pretty differently. [But yeah, I see now it wasn't Stephone you were talking about, but it was the 'mario guy']. I never got to face this 'mario guy' in the past 2 tournaments, but it's interesting to hear about his apparent potential. Heck, I almost went Mario this tournament but wussed out.

Lol, nakamaru represent the quaker valley smash scene. Which is pretty much just me. I'm top tier in my entire school.

It'd be awsome if we did that. Taki, naka, and swift FTW.

I wouldnt say all that, I mean taki did kill himself as scheduled, nevertheless he did surprise some of the "higher ups"(meaning the usual winners at the squirrel hill CyberCon) with his potential. I bet he's sitting back reading all of this talk about him and smiling.


Question: Would it be smart to try and get ppl from PITT that smash bymakinga university of PITT thread? and where, atlantic north? or something more specific.

umm my brother goes to pitt and i could count when im at mosk rofl. then again not really. there never really seems to be that many people at pitt that play, although i remember one time when there were 2 other kids besides swift and taki that were also good. other than that all the other kids we played with were sub par or down right bad. then again ive only beat taki like 3 times in my life so ya...

Dude, Farzan goes to U.Pitt, at least I'm certain that's what he told me. He's good as hell, and I'm surprised you've gone on this long about looking for good Pitt smashers and his name hasn't come up. (Or did he literally stop playing the game) ?

Rather than make a thread, you could also create a Facebook group. CMU's Smash group has 140+ people, ...er, but I don't know if even half know what an L-cancel is.

whoa i hope u arent bull****ing me on that one(i've been looking hard). I heard of the skill of F_zan and got to play one of his "cheerleaders"(as stephan puts it). Even he was good, he beat me about a year ago and was like the only comp at tekkoshocon that year. Like from what I hear he's a beast(F_ZAN).


bout facebook, tried but will try again. with PITT facebook clubs, the average length of activity is about a week, but ima try again. right now.

fzan's excellent, but last I heard, he quit (maybe sort of) and I also didn't think he went to pitt. Could be wrong on both accounts.

We should definately find out these things for sure. I've only ever heard of F_Zan and if he's not completely done with the game, I'd certainly like to get a chance to test myself against him. Does anyone know any way of contacting the guy?

I know keerarer is retired from smash till the wii, but i dont know if the same goes for Farzan. He is one hell of a sheik player.

You could send him a PM. I sent him one a while back to see if he wanted to play one day, but he hasnt sent anything back yet.
