I know we had an SC thread in the past but w/e. This is more about the e-sport, i.e. those who watch it!

It's generally assumed that SC2 will end the pro, televised scene as we know it. Time will tell (im fairly skeptical), but for now let's enjoy the best spectator sport around!

i don't really watch proleague, aside from the tasty matchups (leta v jangbi was pretty sweet). i focus mostly on msl and osl, and with the ro32 for the msl starting this weekend, all i can say is HEEEEEEEELL YEAH!

who do u think's gonna win? flash is always da big favorite but BISU IS BACK! BISU BISU BISU! bisu's gonna take both the msl and the osl =)

for the unitiated, jon747, nevake, ranshinDA (msl eng commentary) and nukethestars (osl eng commentary) are where to find commentaries on youtube. i highly suggest anyone get into it because it's definitely the best mix of entertainment and skill out there, smash included.

yeah i don't watch proleague either, i used to watch GOM a lot but since it got canceled i've just been watching MSL and OSL finals/semi finals

flash *****!
but omfg if bisu is really really back i'm gonna be happy

i would love to see a flash vs. bish msl final (even tho flash will dominate)

sc2 is pretty fun to watch too

So is it always better to attack or defend in starcraft?

and what's a bisu build?

It's never better to always do something.

Bisu build, IIRC, is the fast-expand PvZ opening that was considered non-standard until he did it like every game.

Edit: If Bisu's back I'd be incredibly happy.

**** u lovage! flash will get ****ed up by bisu! elite protoss > terran! (i feel like atlus now...)

effort v bisu in finals i hope. kal has also been very consistent and beastly for the past ~3 months, altho i just don't think he's starleague championship material. but i'm rooting!

thanks for the link oscar

i like talking about the original 3 giants

since you don't really watch the spl that much, you probably don't know that flash is not performing well at all. he's KT's clutch winner, but he's consistently lost the last 6 ace matches they let him play. i think his solid tvt mech build isn't able to keep up with the newer metagame which introduces battlecruisers towards the end of mid game. flash adapts pretty quick and i'm sure he can jump back into the mix, but i don't think this is going to be his season.

jaedong has been sick and has probably been out of practice also. i don't know that much about jaedong other than that he's still a consitent winner, but i'm sure unexplainable conflicts will appear and he'll just go down. some wtf? **** like losing to
yellow

bisu vs effort sounds like a finals to me too

i was just about to bump this for that

by far the best match of the year and honestly the best zvp i can remember. probably since the last time bisu was in his prime and fought jaedong.

jaedong is so good. bisu is incredible. im not gonna spoil anything but zomg it pays to watch all 32 minutes

pretty sure ogs is going to take it, only other 1 i could see having a chance is TLO but not likely

edit- whitera vs dimaga was such a crappy set

whitera is so garbs, either hes playing bad or hes just mediocre compared to every1else

I haven't seen today's matches (they aren't up on blip yet) but Dimaga is eh. Everyone says he's the best zerg ever but he's never really that impressive.

Definitely looking forward to tester vs TLO

As for SC BW
Bisu Lost! =(

Effort and fantasy are **** though. Light also ***** but shrug* boring match.

way to not answer the question haha
That depends on how the question is interpreted! It is not always better to attack nor is it always better to defend. So I guess you can say the answer is no.

Some situations require you to be aggressive and others require you to be defensive. It all depends on builds and the amount of information you have. If you're always attacking it won't always work against a safer build. If you're always defending it won't always work against a greedy build. I can tell you a build that will always work against a greedy build but that doesn't necessarily mean you always need to use that build. It was a horrible question to begin with!

starcraft sucks now.

T is ****ing imba v Z i don't care what anyone says

ZvP is imbalanced for Z

so as a result all we see is boring *** camping. every match is early expo no rush for 8-10 min. the whole year has had awful games
