Nicely done; I would have never thought to use the battle mode for inspiration on Cosmic Wall.

For City Escape, cars tend to get flipped over a lot, so perhaps you can put one in the air at an awkward angle or upside down to simulate it being flipped for the sake of having a platform?

Apart from that, I'd say nicely done on the rails in Final Rush
thanks man, i'm gonna take your advice for the cars in city escape, its not a bad idea!
im planning on remaking Final Rush using the Large preset, so more rails and stuff xD

That's not Pumpkin Hill? 3/10 needs more fighting freak Knuckles :p. Just kidding, that looks like a really good stage, might plagiarize bits of it for when I make my own Pumpkin Hill stage.

This probably is not going to be something new, but I made it anyways. I tried to remodel Sector Z/Corneria so you could play it on the Wii U version. I added a couple of visual touches and some high-performance G-Difuser Rectangles as well c:

I'm interested in this project and I wish you well for it. I'm not specifically building stages for competitive play, but I would like to submit one of my stages to test out; Walk the Plank is very plain and basic stage but it is designed for competitive play.

Anybody got any ideas for an Eternal Engine stage from Sonic Adventure 2? I was thinking the stage could be the power generator where the goal ring is, and there could be multiple platforms. It would be quite tournament legal!

So these are my first two stages that I've posted on Miiverse. I'm always trying to think of new ideas, but I just wish there was more stage content. I miss a lot of the stuff that was in Brawl's Stage Builder...



Stage Name: Hall of Pain

Artist's Note: I wanted to make a stage that required a degree of high skill in close combat. Eliminate the spacing element of the game, or at least be punished for spacing too much. I also wanted to make a stage that gives opponents little to no room for error, and I think this stage accomplishes that. This stage is best used with four players and is probably not good for a standard stock match, considering the stage itself is just one giant death trap.

Stage Name: Bowser's Room 3

Artist's Note: Inspired by the battle with Bowser from SMB 3, I re-made the room in which you battle him to the best I could. This is actually an old version, but the most recent one doesn't have any drastic changes. I merely added something to the right side of the stage, to help it look more like the room. The missing space in the middle depicts where Bowser ground pounded.

Posted two stages today: Mushroom Kingdom M(elee) and Mushroom Kingdom Alpha. The first is a modified recreation of Mushroom Kingdom (the platforms are fall-through rather than completely solid, since there's no breakable tiles available) and the second removes the walk-offs, the moving platforms, and the two fall-throughs on the side to make for a competitive stage.

After several days of tinkering around, I finally was able to create an 8-bit stage. It's Cheep-Cheep! The only complaint I would say that I have about this is that there's not enough surface. Not even enough for a moving platform. I can't wait for Mario Maker to come out.

Since the main stage gimmick can't be recreated without the falling blocks, there's not much else that would be more apropos, as battle mode is zero help. Inserting a lava artificial chaos could work, but that wouldn't be very fun. The last thing is a bit of a stretch, as it doesn't appear, but perhaps you could make the likeness of a spring beetle if you're desperate for something else, but I think your idea is good enough on its own.

Why. Of all the stages I could have decided to make, even within this series, why did I decide to make this.




It did turn out to be a pretty fun stage to play on, though, so I'll upload it (with aesthetic tweaks) in tomorrow's batch.

For Golden Sun, the Great Gabomba statue from TLA or Passaj from DD could work. The statue is self explanatory, but Passaj is filled with those floating Zol blocks, so they could be scattered around for platforms. Other than that, there are the Elemental Rocks or the Elemental Stone chamber.

Unfortunately, I've only played the first game. TLA confused me as a kid and I no longer have the cartridge, so I'm holding out for the NA VC release.

I've considered Mt. Aleph, but that would've been frustrating to play on and kind of bland-looking. I've also tried Tret, but I can't quite get it how I'd like it. Crossbone Isle isn't really visually distinct, and Colosso would be pretty much a Ω stage, at least when it comes to onstage play.
Decisions, decisions.

Does anybody know if there is a way to download stages from a Japanese miiverse user? I wanted to download the stage of Etika's Mewtwo reaction but apparently they don't let you download out of region stages via miiverse and it's too old to be in the in-game search.

I suggest adding the creator as a friend. That might just be the easiest way...

You wouldn't know if, by any chance, there's a way to bypass the "100 stages or replays per Wii U" thing? Because that's the single most ridiculous thing that this series has ever added.

Deoxys Mission (It's basically Norfair without the BS)
Kirby's Buffet (It's a pun. Buffet is a line of food or it can mean a strike or hit. Get it? get it? eeeehhhhhh? Moving platform on sides make for some Randall-esque shenanigans)
Heavens Fountain (Stage for Palutena. High ceiling and small roof may make it non-competitively viable but still fun)
Somber Future (Flat, somewhat large, 1 central platform. Sword wielders are fun on this map. Stage meant to be home field for Lucina. I'm sure she's so happy the future is so desolate. Thinness of stage shows off natural beauty of the background.)

What would it be? What would the stage look like, feature, and what songs would its playlist include?
I would create Neo Bowser City from Mario Kart 7 as a stage, set in (obviously) Neo Bowser City. It'd work like Mario Circuit 8, with you riding on a platform to different locations of the cyber punk city of eternal night, all while being rained on in glorious HD and with plenty of flashing lights and ****, to balance out the gloominess. Complete with a guitar remix of the NB City theme, while still keeping the gloomy and dark mood. The other NB City theme is a mashup of the Kart 7 and Kart 8 versions of the theme. Like they did with Cloudtop Cruise.

I was hoping for an underworld level from Kid Icarus Uprising to appear. Maybe it could have some underworld baddies pop by in the background.........or maybe a clubberskull stage boss YIKES

This might be a bit odd, but for Mad Space how about making the stage the 3 main planets, just extremely scaled down, perhaps adding the starting platform at the bottom for more ground.

For Meteor Herd, you could do the place where they fight, but it might be difficult not making it just a standard caged arena.

The final area of Crazy gadget would be easy enough, though the color won't be as diverse.

Recreating Hidden Base 2p mode would be simple as well.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Some people have mentioned Cerulean Cave, and I would be all for that.

I feel like we've never really had wild pokemon, and this environment could be pretty intense. You could have common cave Pokemon appearing in the background and appearing on stage. Maybe Tentacruel's pop up out of the water and whip their tentacles down to attack people near the edges.
