How/who did reencryption? Can you post the source? A ton of Mac people have been asking me for the decryptor source, and it sounds like this is the last thing before my stuff becomes obsolete because everyone else has done it. :p
Xane provided it. I'll ask him if he wants to let other people use the online encryptor/decryptor.

whoops, my bad.. yes I meant 16 bytes.. actually I copied some signature for testing.. yet right now I am very sure it's no MD5 signature.. I ran many brute force checks on the actual file without result - of course it could be a slightly modified one (modified base constants - but seeing these are 4 32 bit integers you can tweak on this could be very tough actually

Hi guys, how's it going?
I didn't feel like wading through 41 pages of posts, so I'll just ask it here.

The version of the program that I have doesn't account for my screenshots being in 16:9. Are there any plans to update the program to export jpegs in the proper resolution?

When i asked you for the source, i wasn't trying to obselete your stuff. I was just trying to compile it for OSX. Any automation i wrote after that would have been done with automator, and i would still make available for people (but it would still use your tools).

Also, just FYI. All 3 of your other tools compiled fine under OSX. out2jpg, DeLZSS, and StageSplit.

Oh, it's no problem. I was just curious who else had come up with encryption stuff. I guess they're keeping their source as well. >.> And FYI, DeLZSS and StageSplit aren't my tools. I think Heinermann made them.

Either there's something I missed or my screens are weird...

I'm on OS X. I compiled GT's out2jpg (I got a warning about a signed/unsigned conflict but it's fine) and when I tried it on my screenshots, it failed. I got a ton of "Error: Too early. Filling in with 0x00.". Since it isn't supposed to happen, I was wondering if my built was wrong or if I was doing it wrong or if my screens were weird.
These are two of my screenshots (they show DK taunting) that fail.

Now let the brick ****ting on Nintendo's site commence.

Anyway, updated tplconv. Fixed a lot of stuff, IA4 and IA8 now work properly. -pause will pause the program at the end. Still no -o support, but it's coming. Fix a load of other things as well. I might go to BTI converting while I'm at it, although it will be a seperate program instead of integrated into one.

If there are any issues with the program, post them. There were some bugs found while ripping sprites and textures, but overall it works pretty well. I only need to verify certain types, as well as know what one image format is ( CI14X2 ). There's absolutely nothing about this image format.

out2jpg only works on the files produced by bindecrypt, which GT hasn't released the source for because it contains the Wii AES Keys, which aren't exactly supposed to be public information (from my searching around google nintendo didn't make it hard to get them) but that's why he hasn't released the source for that yet.

So, to run out2jpg, you still need bindecrypt on windows to make you a bunch of .out files (which are just the screenshots essentially) then you run the out2jpg on those.

It's a 2 step process :)

Thanks to Heinermann's tools, I found out that there are indeed some trophies left out:

This is the correct order in which the trophy previews (and probably trophy data also) are stored. DK is placed that far because of the algorithm I used to assemble the images.

*.rel - PPC coded module (disassembling that one now)
That should be fun to play with. From the strings I pulled with a hex editor it looked to be linking up items, effects, and physics under ftFighterBuilder.

for ftMario :)

you are talking about those melee trophies, right?
Are you sure there's no way to unlock them? not even by inserting a Melee memory card?

Basically, Nintendo did keep them secret very well.. they were cracked.. and you can imagine, once people crack them they spread very quickly.. although close to no one actually includes them in their software, it's very easy to get access to them thanks to Google, Usenet and whatever.

Yea, i was trying to get GTCoder to hook me up witt the source so i could compile one too. However, he's just going to do it himself so he's not spreading that code. (At least that's what i got out of the PM he sent me.)

Yea, i was trying to get GTCoder to hook me up witt the source so i could compile one too. However, he's just going to do it himself so he's not spreading that code. (At least that's what i got out of the PM he sent me.)
I've been getting lots of PMs. The program's available for Linux and Windows. If anyone wants to do another version of bindecrypt, they can; I'm not sure if I will be able to compile a Mac version. Apparently Xane and others know the SD key and how to do decryption/encryption, so they're welcome to release the code or compile for Mac if they want. Personally, I'm just not going to release the code, or the key. I don't mean to be rude or petty about it; it's just my decision. :)

Well, I updated my viewer for the snapshots.. http://ssbb.l0nk.org/
changes: SD key now included, no more need for bindecrypt - I am not too sure about legality, the key is therefore stored in a way to easily export it into an external file - for the rest.. some kinda file browser I owe to a friend telling me how to make browse windows: http://ssbb.l0nk.org/browser.jpg
(on another note: the program now magically works on Win98 - although I use Unicode components - it shows an error message or even a blue screen when closing - just it works - but I won't support it, I just tested for some MSN guy who seriously still uses it)

for the people searching the key.. I won't publish the key here either, it's absolutely illegal - however at gbatemp.net you can find a tutorial on how to set up Trucha Signer - during this tutorial you'll be told on how to acquire the key - I won't go into further details for now as I am pretty sure GTCoder and the others have their reasons besides legality not to post them - besides legality!

I wasn't trying to accuse you of anything. It's your code and it's absolutely your decision whether or not to release it. I just wish it was something easier to do, so that you could work with a select individual (not me per say, just any person you decide to work with) to get a mac version going.

However, again, it's your descision and i'm not goign to hold it against you in any way shape or form.

GT, if you want to release the source, but don't want to include the key, why not make it a variable at the top and in order to use it, people would just have to put the key in themselves, but the rest of the source is there?

Can you post a link to the linux binaries? Your site only has the windows ones.

Hay gaiz what's goin on in this thred?!

Before I start, let me assure you guys that you are doing a fantastic job. Any progress is fantastic progress. Personally, I bounce up and down in my chair whenever I think of a PC level editor. No more using the D-Pad to build stages! (Why oh why didn't they let you use point/click with wiimote x_x) Stages where you can actually walk to your death! Maybe even moving-camera stages!

So I woke up 2 days ago with the idea to mess with stages on an SD card, frustrated with the limitations of the Brawl level editor. I fired up hexeditor, tweaked a few things, got X of failure, and before trying to figure everything out myself, did a quick search. Which brings me to now. Where does stage editing stand at this point? Haven't seen it discussed in a while. I can't tell you how exciting the prospect of being able to flip those diagonal pieces upside down is! (No more block-stair sloping roofs lol)

Well as far as stage editing goes, we need to figure out some sort of checksum in order to have brawl read the modified stage correctly.

Speculation shows that we are able to place blocks anywhere within the given range (see docs at http://heinermann.kakkoister.com), stack blocks or place them next to each other, use any music track or SFX, and more.

Lol, wow.. but seriously.. how much webspace do you have (or is it your dedicated server - rented or self-hosted)? 10,000 * 100 KB = 1 GB of just images - awesome!

Perhaps you can have a rating system, where the better ones can be filtered. Also, can you do a sort by date?

1.5TB HDD Space :) It's a VPS. 15TB's monthly bandwidth.

I'm not experienced enough in web coding. I'd need someone like Xane to do that.
