maybe you got them early hence the name speedI wonder if you guys even tried them...
Ask yourself this question. So, moving from the bestsmash debate, are you guys gonna stay up till midnight to wait for the codes? I know I won't. (actually make that, CAN'T. My parents will be on my case if I do. )
If the codes aren't released at 9 PM on Tuesday, (cause I got my copy of SM4SH 3DS at 9 PM October 2nd even though they said midnight.) I'm gonna wake up at like 6, check my email, and if they're there, rejoice. If not, Wednesdays are short for me so it won't be that bad. (Although, I may have a horrible case of the Mewtwo Withdrawal Twitching throughout the day.)
HD FoD please. The stages were the best imo (Brawl stages added way too much bull ****).
PLEASE!!! Why did they remove that stage? Literally everybody preferred that over Green GreensHD FoD please.
And from as far as I'm aware the Fountain of Dreams music got removed.PLEASE!!! Why did they remove that stage? Literally everybody preferred that over Green Greens
To be fair, Green Greens is more iconic. But that doesn't mean I agreePLEASE!!! Why did they remove that stage? Literally everybody preferred that over Green Greens
Agreed. And from as far as I'm aware the Fountain of Dreams music got removed.
Whoever made that choice needs to be fired.
I honestly have no clue. The combination of the actual stage, the music, and the scenery just made it so perfectPLEASE!!! Why did they remove that stage? Literally everybody preferred that over Green Greens
Agreed. I see nothing wrong with a stage where the gimmick is aesthetics. What's wrong with just a coupl'a platforms?! From what I've seen in the past 2 games, I have reason to believe Sakurai won't allow a stage to be made unless it has some bull**** gimmick that can get you killed due to RNG and bad luck.Fountain of Dreams was a nice spin on the Battlefield variant. We need more stages like that.
If I could like this post twice, I would.
A friend of mine got an SD on the Woolly World stage because the stage's bottom disappeared just as they initiated the Back Slash.Agreed. You spelled Pyrosphere wrong. Worst stage in the franchise imoAnd that's the tip of the bull**** iceberg.
Pac-Land.You spelled Pyrosphere wrong. Worst stage in the franchise imo
...I still consider Pyrosphere worse, as at least Pac-Land not only stayed true to the canon, but Pac-Land also didn't get the wrong ****ing namePac-Land.
Not only is it a scrolling stage littered with all sorts of BS it also looks crap.
MS Paint: The Stage. Coming to a fighting game near you.
Pac-Land arguably did something new whilst Pyrosphere was a 2d version of the DOA stage....I still consider Pyrosphere worse, as at least Pac-Land not only stayed true to the canon, but Pac-Land also didn't get the wrong ****ing name
"Muh Retro/Arcade representation"Don't forget 75m!! Back by UN-popular demand!!
"We brought stages back based on fan popularity, everyone loves 75m and hates Fountain of Dreams and Pirate Ship! Either that or my notes were mistranslated but it's too late to double check now!Don't forget 75m!! Back by UN-popular demand!!
Sakurai always has something that contradicts what he says."We brought stages back based on fan popularity, everyone loves 75m and hates Fountain of Dreams and Pirate Ship! Either that or my notes were mistranslated but it's too late to double check now!
All you needed to do was use a specific design...Geh...Sakurai always has something that contradicts what he says.
"Accurate Portrayals"
Explains why Shulk can hurt most of the roster huh?
My gripes with Geometrical Power Plant is A: That's not how the enemies worked B: That's not it's name C: ANOTHER ****ING LAVA THEMED METROID STAGE D: Ridley isn't true to his character yet Sakurai believes this is more canon than small wings, something that happened in every 2D game other than sm4shAs far as I'm concerned, I don't care about stage gimmicks as long as they aren't terribly disruptive. Wooly World is fine, because it's honestly not that hard just get on a platform and wait for the transition. To me, it sounds like the guy who initiated Back Slash just made a bad decision at the wrong time. It's not the stage's fault if you use an unstoppable move right before the transition phase.
Pyrosphere and Wily Castle are also OK, at least to me. I understand that the stage bosses are disruptive, but I personally don't find them massively annoying. Ridley is pretty easy to dodge, and Yellow Devil is a matter of playing it safe, at least to me. I'm probably the only one whose completely fine with most stage bosses, but I respect other people's opinion.
However, there are several stages that I hate. Scrolling stages are pretty bad, even if the scenery is usually gorgeous, except for PAC-Land. PAC-Land is ugly and it scrolls. I just can't stand it. There are a several other stages I hate, but I can't seem to remember them right now. Basically, almost any stage with an incredibly disruptive hazard is pretty bad, and I dislike most excessively large stages unless I'm playing in 8-Player Smash. However, this is only my opinion, and I'll respect everyone else's, even if they completely disagree with me.
The stage transition is easy to predict in a timed match but after lord knows how many transitions in a stock match because another player doesn't understand the concept of "Omega Stages only" it's pure bad luck.As far as I'm concerned, I don't care about stage gimmicks as long as they aren't terribly disruptive. Sakurai did write the whole of Uprising so I'd assume he'd want to write his dear, cherished characters in Smash Bros.I know we're over the whole Guidances conversation, but there's something else I want to add: there's the possibility that they actually hire a writer to come up with these conversations. I could be wrong, though, since they're so short, maybe Sakurai himself is the one who writes them. Who knows.
Kongo Jungle Melee and the Original Pokemon Stadium stage (From Melee) should return too.I do agree that Fountain of Dreams should return. Why did they remove the music? Another song I don't understand why we don't get back is the Fourside theme from Melee. It was so great!
Revamped NES Ridley gets yet another point in his favor!D: Ridley isn't true to his character yet Sakurai believes this is more canon than small wings, something that happened in every 2D game other than sm4sh
I actually like Pilotwings. Feels like venom from Melee.Sometimes I feel like this is what goes on in Sakurai's boardroom:
Employee: Here's this stage everybody loves! We should bring it back
Sakurai: Is it a more competitively-viable stage?
Employee: Well, yes, but......
Sakurai: CUT IT!!!! I want more stages like Wuhu Island, and Pilot Wings!!! Also, make sure you can get hit by the scenery, because everybody loves bull**** like that. Obviously ALL casuals play items on high at 75m, why NOT cater to them?
I find Pilot Wings and Wuhu Island to be perfectly enjoyable... What's wrong with them?Sometimes I feel like this is what goes on in Sakurai's boardroom:

I've had enough of the floats in the Cumulonimbus Bull****.POKE FLOATS! BRINSTAR DEPTHS! FOURSIDE! AAAAAAALL OF EM SHOULD HAVE STAYED WITH THE SERIES
Meh, I felt like we had enough moving-platform stages (Skyloft, Delfino, Mario Circuit, Halberd to an extent) and I feel like those 2 could've been cut for more simple or overall better stages. Seriously, there are like 7 moving-platform stages. What the hell?I find Pilot Wings and Wuhu Island to be perfectly enjoyable... What's wrong with them?
LOLhis dear, cherished characters in Smash Bros.
This is so accurate it hurts.Sometimes I feel like this is what goes on in Sakurai's boardroom:

Yeah, but have you HEARD the Light Plane remix? I think it's worth playing that stage just for the remix.Meh, I felt like we had enough moving-platform stages (Skyloft, Delfino, Mario Circuit, Halberd to an extent) and I feel like those 2 could've been cut for more simple or overall better stages. I literally have it so that it's only Wonderful 101 and Dillon music on that stage.Yeah, but have you HEARD the Light Plane remix? I think it's worth playing that stage just for the remix.
But that's none of my business.
*sips Lipton ice tea*
You summed up nearly every stage since Melee: It would be perfect.......IF. Pyrosphere (or whatever the real name is) would be perfect IF Ridley didn't show up. Wily Castle would be perfect IF the Yellow Devil wasn't there. Pilotwings would be perfect IF the planes didn't tilt and didn't promote campingTo be honest the only problem with Pilotwings is the Red Biplane having a perfect area to camp in otherwise I'm perfectly fine with it.
Wuhu Island could have been so much better than another uninspired moving platform stage. At least it makes sense on Pilotwings which would be perfect without the wild tilts and red biplane.
