Spectator Match Gambling - Why it won't work

From my personal opinion, I think this mode is nice to just sit back and relax, tbh. Obviously, any Smash fan would rather play than watch some random match; though would they?

I don't think you'd get any spectator pros.

They better not take any advanced spectating techniques out in the game after Brawl

I'll be spectating when I can't play myself, gambling will be an added guilty pleasure.

At first when I saw the gambling part of spectator mode, I thought that the game itself would just double your coins. This would work even if people aren't watching the same match as you.

If you DO only get the coins of the people who bet...then this might be a problem.

Here's what I think and I see this in a lot of online games that have tried this. Basically a lot more people are going to want to play than just watch. Since the matches are random you can't have like a bunch of players choose the same match to watch and bet on. So, mathematically, the chances of even one player watching a match at any given time is miniscule. Who are you gambling against? Unless you can bet on multiple matches at once (Doesn't appear to be an option) looks like another failed addition.

your wrong. i know we will need spectators for online tournaments. and if that spectator is feeling lucky he might want to bet his coins

Spectator mode can be used in order to verify the winner of a match should someone decide to hold an online tournament.

I had entertained the idea of having a giant RR tournament that would last for weeks, or even months, and players would be in charge of contacting each other and playing matches throughout the week. I would have to form some sort of council that could spectate the matches to make sure one person doesn't try to lie about the results.

Plus, whenever I challenge random noobs on GFaqs to Wifi MM, I want everyone from GFaqs to witness his humiliation.

This update is not useless.

Edit: Just realized that it is completely random. My post is dumb, and so is spectator mode.

I'm not really desperate for a "good" update. I'm just counting down the days until Feb 10th.

I think the hardest will be during Janurary..Because I'll be back from Christmas break..School will start again...Track would be starting...No more long breaks till Spring Break afterwards..uhhh
