Sort of an Ethical Recording Question

Suppose someone traveled 7 hours of driving to a tournament to record footage including finals games. Now one of the players playing in the finals games refuses to play on the recording set up and the other doesn't care at all if he's recorded or not. As a recorder/uploader, I find it really disrespectful to go all that way just to get turned down, but I would also hate to demand someone to do something for me. What could be the less worse choice to make?

You tell him you are gonna record the match.

In the two tourneys I hosted, I explicitly stated that all matches are subject to be recorded.

Mew2King usually tells me not to record him in both Brawl and Melee here in the MW... and every time I just record it anyway LOL <3 m2k

Yeah, recording in tourney should never be refused, but if someone asks for their matches not to be uploaded, I'd always respect that.

In any case, traveling 7 hours solely to record footage is a pretty big waste of time. You're putting yourself in a position to be disappointed.

I always record the matches and if someone doesn't want it uploaded to youtube then I don't upload it, but offer to give the match video files to anyone who wants them.
