The best way to sum up Shadow the Hedgehog; I was at a video store with my 10 year old cousin and he was playing Shadow the Hedgehog on one of those little demos.I don't know what happened, but the next thing I know he's screaming and running out of the video store. Some say it was the cut on his hand, others say he saw a spirit, but I think we all know what it was...

I think people are over-exaggerating waaay too much. There's nothng wrong with Shadow The Hedgehog that hasn't been wrong with any other 3D Sonic's since SA2. Vehicle control sucked and voice acting sucked...nothing new. Shadow's attitude makes him a bit of a lame character, but that's about it. And why everyone whines about the use of guns in the game is ********. Shadow The Hedgehog was CLEARLY meant to be a canon spinoff of the Sonic series and NOT yet another "Sonic" game, so there's really no need to expect it to play 100% like one.

Sonic Heroes was by far the clunkiest and most poorly put-together canon Sonic title as of recently (though I haven't played Sonic 2006 yet)...and yet none of you are complaining about that...

As Sonic transferred to beautiful 64bit and beyond, everything seemed to fall apart.

Shadow the Hedgehog wasn't exactly the GREATEST idea in the world, and I hope his brawl appearance shall never come to be.

I loved Shadow the Hedgehog game. :D

Actually. I love EVERY Sonic game out there! Except only one.... Sonic BLAST for the Game Gear. "Oh it was a 'blast' alright.. a blast out of my a**!" (changed quote from the Angry Videogame Nerd)

Maybe it's the fact that I play ALL the newGen Sonic games on Japanese language, the fact that makes me love them all!

Shadow the hedgehog wasn't a good move, I think... But that game had so many levels, I never got bored. (Except on some really hard levels).

My bottom 3 for Sonic games would be...

Sonic Blast (god awful game... graphically nicer than the usual Game Gear games)
Sonic Chaos (terrible engine...)
Sonic Spinball (good idea, but it doesn't feel Sonic at ALL).

And I was happy about the X-Mas update, because I hadn't gotten a clear shot at Super Sonic.

And the song kicked ash!! Angel Island is one of my favorite tracks... really takes me back to those days... And the best part is, it's both Zone1 and Zone2 combined. =D

Well yeah it wasn't...but the fact that people put the atrcity that was Sonic Heroes like 2 tiers above Shadow The Hedgehog sickens me...

I loved Shadow the Hedgehog game. :D
I enjoyed it too. Though I'm not a bit fan of the character that is Shadow. Apart from vehicle usage, the voice-acting, and the level design which sometimes made finding/killing every human or alien annoying as level, I felt it played just fine.

Sonic Blast wasn't grat...but how the hell could you like Sonic Labyrinth, Sonic 3D Blast, or Sonic Heroes?

I preferred Flying Battery Act 1, Sandopolis Act 1, and Act 1 Boss Theme as some of my favorite tracks. Though the Brawl-ified remix to Angel Is;and has officially become my new favorite...(behind "His World" from Sonic 06 and "What I'm Made Of" from Sonic Heroes).

QUOTE]

I believe Sonic Labirynth = Sonic Chaos. Or something like that. If not, it's just down there on the same level.

As for Sonic Heroes. The game was frustrating as h***, but it was worth seeing my childhood dream realized of seeing Sonic, Tails and Knuckles on a team fighting together... The music in Heroes was awesome (except Team Sonic and the Title theme), and also the return of the Chaotix!

It's clearly not a good game, but even I liked it. :p (You know something is wrong with a game when you spend over 50 minutes to complete a single stage... x_X)

Sonic 3D Blast: I had to give it a bit of patience to finally get to like it. This game isn't as hard as it looks, and the bosses are fun. And for its time, it was... nice seeing Sonic in 3D.

Word. What I'm Made of is one of my all-time favorite songs for a videogame.

I'm still wishing they pulled a Sonic And Kncuckles MEDLEY. Cause every single song in that game rocks. My personal favorite is Lava Reef, and the Pre Final Boss. Sandopolis 2 is made of pure win too.

I also would like to see included "7 rings in hand". I mean.. come on... Some Wii Sonic love?

Some of those groovy tracks from Sonic Rush would be nice (Wrapped in Black, Jeh Jeh, etc)

Sonic Chaos and Triple Trouble were respectable for me...since I didn't have a Genesis or any Sonic PC games (at the time) they were the only Sonic platformers I could enjoy....until I got Sonic & Knuckles Collection and Sonic 3D Blast for PC

but it was worth seeing my childhood dream realized of seeing Sonic, Tails and Knuckles on a team fighting together...
I had that same childhood dreams myself. That's the only thing keeping me for using the game disc as a ballsack-scratcher.

The music in Heroes was awesome (except Team Sonic and the Title theme)
I personally hated all the vocal music except for "What I'm Made Of", "Sonic Heroes" (somewhat), and (I know I'm gonna regret saying this...) Team Rose's Theme.

and also the return of the Chaotix!
Yeah that's was also big for me too. I wish I got to play Knuckles Chaotix and the SegaSonic Arcade starring Sonic and Mighty the Armadillo...oh well, I guess that's what emula--er--I mean eBay *ahem* is for...

It's clearly not a good game, but even I liked it. :p (You know something is wrong with a game when you spend over 50 minutes to complete a single stage... x_X)
My biggest gripe. Classic Sonic games automatically killed you if you didn't complete a level in under 9 minutes and 59 seconds, most level took under 40% of that time limit going as average speed. So why the hell should a Sonic Heroes level be showing 14-something on the damm clock when I complete an act?

Sonic 3D Blast: I had to give it a bit of patience to finally get to like it. This game isn't as hard as it looks, and the bosses are fun. And for its time, it was... nice seeing Sonic in 3D.
It wasn't difficulty that was a factor. It's just the Sonic fails in isometric view....just like in Sonic Labyrinth. Sonic 3D Blast was the first Sonic game (excluding Tails Adventure) in which I felt unnecessarily showed down.

Side note: I'm so glad the Sonic Labyrinth and all the other Game Gear Sonic titles that I didn't previously own came as unlockables with my Sonic Adventure DX. That way don't feel obligated to beat them since technically, I had no intention of purchasing those games themselves.

Word. What I'm Made of is one of my all-time favorite songs for a videogame.
Same here...but you knew that already...

I'm still wishing they pulled a Sonic And Kncuckles MEDLEY. Cause every single song in that game rocks. My personal favorite is Lava Reef, and the Pre Final Boss. Sandopolis 2 is made of pure win too.
That would be really nice. You should Google the Project Chaos S3K remixes and download some of them. Primarily, the ones by Snapple Man and Brain Cells. I wasn't really a big fan of adding video game music to my mp3 collection with the exception of a few Sonic Adventure tracks, a couple FF7/8 tracks, and of course "What I'm Made Of", but these remixes of Sonic 3 & Knuckles level tracks were to die for.

I also would like to see included "7 rings in hand". I mean.. come on... Some Wii Sonic love?
So many hate that song. I think it's okay. I'm still Wii-less and having played Sonic and the Secret Rings yet. I've heard both good and bad about it, but personally I'm not too wild about the the whole restrictive rollercoaster path crap.

Some of those groovy tracks from Sonic Rush would be nice (Wrapped in Black, Jeh Jeh, etc)
Unfortunately, I don't have a DS and I sold my GBA last year before I could ever get ahold of a handheld Sonic game...but then again that's what emula--er--I mean eBay is for...

I'm not gonna lie... 3/4ths of the time I spent on that game, I complained about the controls... how the whole game felt like a Special Stage... But I got over it when Sonic's mobility improved drastically from what I started out with. It took me a ridiculous ammount of time to get over it. XD

Project Chaos is awesome! Live in Sandopolis is one of my favorites.

Handheld games are nice. To me they go like this:

1.- Sonic Rush
2.- Sonic Battle (I have some insane battle records there)
3.- Sonic Advance 3
4.- Sonic Rush Adventures
5.- Sonic Advance
6.- Sonic Advance 2
7.- Sonic Pinball Party
8.- Sonic Spinball (port from Genesis)

I promised myself I'd beat every single Sonic game out there. :D

... unfortunatley, with Sonic 360 out... I don't think I'll be able to fulfill that promise. :/ At least not until I'm richer... Rivals on PSP might also be a problem to get...

Yeah I heard Sonic Rush and it's sequel are must-gets for me. I really want to try Sonic Battle as well. I heard it was awesome...even better than Sonic the Fighters.

I almost made that promise myself...until I realized I'm not interested in getting a PSP or a 360 or a PS3 for that matter. Nor would I be interested in buying a Dreamcast just to play Sonic Shuffle.

Slowly dying in the void
I think Sonic Shuffle is playable through emulation, I havn't tried the game myself.
Other then that the only Sonic game I have not played is Sonic Rivals 2, I am waiting for my friend to lend me his PSP so I can finish that game.

Possibly, but are their any Dreamcast emulators out there in with the framerate doesn't suck balls? Cuz if so they Powerstone and Sonic Shuffle are calling mah name...

The sonic final smash is a complete Pika volt tackle rip off! Works exactly the same way. And dont try to say anything else there... its a somewhat weak attack working just as the hammer.
1. Super Sonic has ALWAYS operated in that manner in the Sonic games so Pikachu can go screw himself.
2. Super Sonic is fast-moving. Volt tackle is slow-moving.
3. Super Sinc doesn't take damage, but CAN be hit and fended off (according to people at E 4 All)...this could've changed since Sakurai didn't mention anything in the update about fending off Super Sonic, but even still that's a key difference. While Pikachu cannot in anyway be safely touched.

So yeah, there are significant differences.

1. Super Sonic has been in the Sonic series since 1992, Volt Tackle has been in since 2002 (I think), when Pokemon R/S came out or when Emerald came out.
2. Super Sonic is a more original Final Smash than Volt Tackle. Since when can Volt Tackle jump up into the air and fly around like Super Sonic?
3. Super Sonic is better than Volt Tackle.

Volt Tackle copied Super Sonic in the SSB series (SSBB) as a Final Smash.

Volt Tackle is actually from a 1994 Japan-Only Genesis game Pulseman (And it's Pulseman's signature move).

Although, this isn't proving anything. Just wanted to bring up something.

I would of have enjoyed Sonic Heroes if it wasn't for the fact everyone can't STFU for a minute. Oh wait..the levels were too long, repetitive and sometimes frustrating. Especially team Chaotix's missions. Oh god they bored me.

So yeah, I can't find any enjoyment in that game either.

Okaaaaay, but in the Pokemon Universe. But even so, Super Sonic came two years before Volt Tackle in that Genesis game.

Technically you can't say that pikachu copied sonic's final smash, since pikachu's final smash was introduced on june 19, 2007, while Sonic's was introduced when the E 4 All expo was open, which was october.

I love Sonic and his FS, however guys, he had NO business at all being the Christmas Day update. That's why alot of people were kinda upset at the hedgehog that day. Even I was kind of pissed off.

Yeah but, Sonic's Super Sonic Final Smash is true to his 2D Super Sonic roots, like in Sonic 2 and S3&Ks. And Volt Tackle is exactly like it, except that Volt Tackle is harder to control and slower. Sonic's is more original and is true to his old Super Sonic style. Okay, saying it copied it was a little too far, but I like Super Sonic more. It's more original and it's true to the old Super Sonic from the 2D games. It's also like the Sonic Adventure 2 Super Sonic, but in 2D side scroller perspective.

no it's not... well, it is, but thats not where Pikachu gets in from. Volt Tackle is a move in Pokemon Emerald that only Pikachu can learn. you can only have them learn it by breading two Pikachu's, with the female Pikachu holding a special item called a "Light Ball". the resulting Pichu will know a move called "Volt Tackle". however, the move in Brawl looks a lot different from the game version, which apparently is just like an electrified tackle (as the name would imply).

That is true that Pichu, Pikachu and Raichu can learn this movie. But it's still Pulseman's signature move. Plus Game Freak made Pulseman. =o

EDIT: Just to note, I was only showing some interesting Trivia. I wasn't proving anyone wrong like I said in my previous post. -_-'

VAs was terrible. There was still lame searching for **** in the Chaotix stages. Levels shouldn't take more than 5 mintues to complete.
