Yojiro Ogawa, director of the newly released Sonic and the Secret Rings for Nintendo Wii, commented in a recent issue of UK’s Nintendo Official Magazine about Sonic as a possible playable character in the forthcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
"In my personal opinion, it would be great to have Sonic in it," said Ogawa. "But that would really involve Sonic and Nintendo’s management, it’s nothing to do with me!"
Solid Snake, a confirmed fighter in Brawl, is the first third-party, playable character in Smash Bros. history. According to 1-UP.com, Brawl director Masashiro Sakurai stated he wants a roster 40 deep, with 1-2 more non-Nintendo characters.
