That video, especially in slow motion, made me crap my pants (not really but wow!)

Note to self: get falcon to 39% for the stage spike.

... There's a thread somewhere with all of the %ages and the fatigue %s right? (by fatigue %s I mean if usmash has been used a few times prior to the spiking one)

Yeah, it's a kind of a luck factor...but still awesome whenever it happens

This is very situational... it depends on how your opponent DIs to my knowledge. This is not something that you can reproduce regularly.
It's not really DI as much as it is placement and %.

Sonic's U-smash just throws people out of it when you hit with the first part (as he's jumping up). And at certain %'s, you can launch your opponent downards.

I've done the "u-smash spike" a few times, but that's probably the steepest one I've seen yet.

Does anyone know where I can see the percentages range and what characters this works on?

Off topic: Listen to Sonic at 0:19...

I would like to know that myself, it would certainly inspire my interest in playing Sonic as a real secondary, right now I would probably be at a D+ playing Sonic skillwise (Don't get me wrong, I love the guy, but I am not as good with him as I would like to be.)

and yeah, I know, that part in slow-mo just made it all the more epic.

Now if that can spike, that would be nice, it's like he is saying, "let me grind on your groin and gimp you after"

I have some of the numbers in the glitch thread. If you go to gimping you'll see I finished some of them some time ago. I don't have my wii though so I can't finish it up...

And yes, Sonic's up-smash spikes. Will not work on ANY of the larger characters like Bowser, Dedede, etc.

His down throw spikes too in the right situation lol. (but that's even more secret)

dthrow spike vs. Dedede ftw, really.

And I've only done the upsmash spike once. It's incredibly hard to really utilize, but oh so worth it when it happens, because you never truly expect it.

@Phoenix Dark and TwinkleToes:
what is this D-throw spike? o_O;

`.`; Umby found a ... D-throw... throw-your-opponent-through-the-floor, but I've never heard of this spike ... thing.

The down throw spike is probably like Fox's dtrow spike. Grab a Dedede when he's recovering and Dthrow on the edge of the stage and see if that works. If not try an alternative method.

I guarantee you you're not gonna figure out how to do it like that lol.

lol the one on the right side...

I thought this was general knowledge already.
So just grab D3 at the right edge and dthrow? Wow, sounds simple enough...do percentages matter?

I'm just your problem~
Oh, I remember this. I just forgot about it, seeing as it's so situational. From what I recall it only works on Battlefield's right edge vs D3?
