True.

The funnest match I ever had was a 3-for-all on Bramble Falls with items-on to decide who would get the beds at Genesis.

i think u missed the point of this blog

I DO find competitive play fun (well in melee anyway...) i love pushing myself to get better learning everything i can.

but sometimes....we get so caught up in it, that we forget to just kick back and RELAX(that rush of excitment from competitive play certainly isn't "relaxed") and just goof off.

which in its own way is still even after you have truely gotten into the competitive scene, extremely fun in its own way.

I can understand that pretty well. I guess people just need to find their time to turn items on and chill for a while then get back to what we truly know and that the competitive drive will rush back to us later.

For kicks my friends and I get into item fights, but can only use items.

I created a stage using just flat ground with a block of ice in the middle. Player 1 stays on the left side of the ice and player 2 on the right side. If either player crosses over to the other side players side it results in a penalty, which is a free uncharged smash attack.

Basically both players stand on their respective sides and throw items at one another until somebody wins. Only items are allowed to deal damage unless there is a penalty. Players are allowed to use attacks on items, such as the soccer ball, but that's about it. Reflectors, and inhales are banned.

Pokeballs, assist trophies, bomb ombs, and crates on wheels tend to be the most damaging items. If the opponent is horrible at spot dodging/shielding the ray gun is dangeous as well.

The only items my friends and I have banned are hearts, tomatoes, food, dragon pieces, team healer, and smashballs.

I wish I had a video to post. Item fights are a lot of fun.
