-As they go, Subaru checks on a map using his phone, the merchants and Rem saying that to get to the village as quick as they can, they have to go near the Flugel Tree, a colossal tree planted by some sage a millennium back-

-However suddenly... Subaru noticed one of the merchants was missing, kart and all, Subaru asks Otto if he knows what happened with him... Otto saying that there was no one there as mist begins to cover the area, and Subaru uses his phone to light up something besides him, seeing the large yellow eye of a creature that makes the cry of a whale as it covers the whole are ain fog, and the episode reveals its name, 'A Pig's Greed'-

Subaru in frustration punched his face, and Otto understandably doesn't gets why he did that, while still wondering why that demon beast keeps following them-

-Subaru realizes upon the mention of the White Whale being a demon beast that... It's following them because of Satella's scent on him, and mutters it out loud... Otto, by this point hearing Subaru admit it all is his fault, plus thinking he's a raving mad man, throws him off his cart to survive, and Subaru now faces the whale-
