Comment: Much like Frisk, Chara's gender in Undertale is not given and instead left up to the interpretation of the player. In this case, the character is portrayed as female.
The Fallen Child. Chara was the first human to ever fall into the Underground, a fall that us believed to have been intentional, as she has mentioned living a miserable life among her fellow humans. She survived the fall, however, and was adopted by the royal Dreemurr family after the king and queen's son found her. Her arrival and the peace and love she found with her new monster family sparked an era of hope within the Underground.
Though having good intentions at first, Chara's controlling nature got the best of her.after she orchestrated a failed plan to break the barrier trapping all monsters in the Underground, costing Chara her life, and later her brother's as he was fatally wounded by humans after bringing her to see the Golden Flowers of her village one last time at her request. This was not the end of Chara, however, as a series of horrific timeline anomalies suddenly brought her back from the afterlife. Inspired and in control, Chara turned to merciless killing as she was convinced the power it granted her was her reason for being resurrected.
Her wish was to purge all life and then the world itself. This did not appear to be the case until her first ever resurrection occurred during a No Mercy route timeline in The Underground, during which a all too curious Frisk unintentionally created Chara's desire for complete genocide.

Real Knife: The Last Item of the Fallen Humans. Rank A+. Anti-Enemy type.
An actual, basic knife, as it's name would suggest, found in New Home in the Underground. Those who take a Neutral or Pacifist route in their journey through the Underground are said to see it as a Worn Dagger, while those who take a Genocide Route through it will instead see it as a complete contrast to a Toy Knife that can be found in the ruins. It has become Chara's personal favorite weapon, and is much more lethal than any ordinary knife so long as she wields it. It boasts a terrifyingly high attack power and can be used by the ghost to project additional knives as magic projectiles. Even one straightforward swing of the knife is said to be instantly fatal to anyone struck by it, especially monsters.

If Chara's vessel has accumulated enough LV by claiming enough Souls, Chara will take full control of her victim and any powers they may have. Should the victim possess the ability to SAVE, Chara can unlock this Noble 0hantasm by manipulating that ability with her power to invert it's effects and completely destroy the very world she resides in. She can still restore it, but will only do so for a price, such as her vessel's own SOUL. Chara has only ever gotten a single ol chance to use this devastating ability.

Traits: Humanoid, Undead, Threat to Humanity.
Notes: Really likes chocolate. While she was never a particularly good person, she once held redeeming qualities. She really did come to care for her adoptive family, particularly her brother Asriel. As a ghost, she became manipulative and heartless, to the point where she would seize control of Frisk's SOUL to force her to finish a genocide fir her, and even kill Flowey if he so much as got in her way. Whether she was still merely using Flowey/Asriel as a means to an end while working as allies of Isis is unclear, but it seems his dedication to their friendship eventually got through to her. She is too far gone to redeem herself or escape her fate, but ahe
does truly hope that Asriel finds a happier ending than she did.
