One thing goes differently, and the whole future could go differently! We can keep the risk of altering the future to a minimum by not touching anything and keeping ourselves hidden.

(I have several reasons for starting this entire scenario, but honestly one of them is that I recently had the idea of Moon and Medea beings friends in their youth. I wanted to see something similar play out.)

"-The princess was immediately annoyed by the interruption- "Mom! Next time knock on the door first, please!"

"Oh... I'm sorry, honey...I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to the camp to sign the peace treaty very shortly. You'll be in charge while I'm away, okay?"

-Sigh- "Okay, mooooom!"

-Comet was hurt, but respected her daughter enough even now as to end the conversation there and allow her privacy for the phone call, as she closed the door. She was clearly saddened by this point, just as the young Moon got right back to talking on the phone.-

-Back on the phone- "Now, where were we? Oh, right! Should I ask him out, or..."

-Heavy sigh, walking away now, letting her daughter be with a hurt expression, bearing a frown on her face. She loves her daughter dearly, but has evidently put up with happy-go-lucky and disrespectful behavior from the teenage princess many times before, as her response was not anger or disappointment, but simply exasperation and emotional pain. She looked down sadly, yet nonetheless, she was about to continue on with her duty as Queen of Mewni and leave the castle to sign the peace treaty between mewmans and monsters-

"The present time Moon, still in the form of her 14 year old-self, looked down and was visibly emotionally pained after listening to the exchange."

Unfortunately the Decepticons followed us and a battle ensued, and we crash landed pre-historic Earth, staying in stasis for 4 million years, until we were awakened in the late 20th century.
