"It was actually still inside, and sat in the damaged "control room" inside it's mech. It looked completely different from the other mutants, and far more disturbing. It's skin had a color and texture that made it look eerily close to human skin, it's tentacles were bigger and lacked claws or stingers, it possessed a single, cycloptic and distinctly yellow eye at it's center, it's disproportionately large brain sat on top of it's main body, and there were even visible remnants of human facial structure surrounding it's eye. The only similarities between this single mutant and the others were that they were both cephalopod-like creatures."
(I'd like to post an image of it to enhance the effect but I'm unsure if it's appropriate. I don't think there's anything actually unsafe about it, it's just a particularly gross and strange-looking alien mutant.)
You're absolutely correct. We're staying together for as long this strange effect lasts. I wonder if this has affected anyone else...
