The detective internally monologues to himself "There I was, about to split the case of the century wide open. The person behind it all was right behind this chair, and it was my job to deliver justice...with my fists!"-

-The camera zooms out to reveal that Anne is showing this to the Plantars on her cellphone, having picked an old noir/detective film for them to watch while on the road in Newtopia, and all three of them are awed by the film-
