-They're ultimately the bigger threat for now, even if they aren't in an active war with them. They do have one advantage over not being in a war with Chaldea, however, that being the element of surprise, as the Decepticons have shown no activity in Basel since their failed invasion and Megatron's demise-

-The Autobots are likely prepared for a Decepticon attack at any moment, meaning a direct fight with them could easily end in failure as the Autobots would be prepared for it. Chaldea doesn't know that the Decepticons are even an active threat to Basel, let alone prioritizing the organization itself, so if Aquamarine's plan goes as expected...they may not be prepared to deal with it-
