-Not only that, but they, along with Anne, soon discover that the entire farm is in disarray; the cowapillars are running amok, there's a few fires burning, the crops are being attacked by bugs, and the swimming pool is now infested with giant mosquitos that are using it to lay their eggs, just as Hop Pop had warned-

-Sprig holds a meeting for everyone to make suggestions about how to fix the farm. Anne and Polly immediately suggest that they get Hop Pop to be in charge again. Sprig promptly gets angry over this, snapping the chalk he was using to write on a board for the meeting, and even declares that "Hopediah Plantar was a tyrant!"-

-Upon heading to the graveyard, they discover that Hop Pop has fully integrated into beetle society, now wearing loincloths that he made himself, as several beetles resembling generic palette swaps of Jeremy land on his arms and shoulder, and like Jeremy himself, all of the beetles have become genuine companions of the old frog. He's now in a much better mood than he was after initially losing the farm to Sprig, and seems at peace with this new way of life-
