OK, so what's with nerds and gamers doing that thing where they get extremely defensive over any statement that could in any way be construed as insulting, and why do they ALWAYS have to make a debate or argument over even the most innocuous statements?

This is a huge pet peeve of mine, it wasn't horrible when I played smash (but there were a couple of bad apples), but holy **** is the Worms community terrible.

Me: GG, you used your lasers really well that game.
Anonymous: You mad bro? I can take you without the lasers noob. I don't need lasers to beat you.

Me: Yeah, it's solid. Good approach and can combo.
Anonymous: But it has its limitations . . . the knockback isn't great and you can't combo it as well as you can with Captain Falcon's.

And then cue 3 more paragraphs where the nerd in question ends up arguing how pika's uair isn't actually good, like he disagreed with himself just so he could disagree with me and prove me wrong.

It's probably one of those social skill problems, so if this is you, please stop. It's annoying. I couldn't remember any Worms examples but it's bad there too and seems to be a growing part of gaming culture as a whole.

Nature > nurture but both play a role.

Exactly.

The problem isn't with the aliasing or newb degenerates. It's regulars on kaillera and wormnet. And it's not just the trolling comments; it's what they would consider normal conversation. Arguing about EVERYTHING yaknow? It's really frustrating lol.

but like with the little letters, I'm interested in style, so I like reading someone whose style I enjoy more than the subject matter

it mostly covers how to go about laying out a page and the ratios for borders and page sizes and such
for fonts it mostly covers history/usage and categorization

same type of people I had to deal with on combat arms which is why I recently uninstalled that game after playing for 3 years
