What'd you do with the + 2? Distribute it?

Make it have the same denominator so you can add it, by multiplying it by (x + 2)/(x + 2).

So you get 1/(x + 2) + 2(x + 2)/(x + 2), which = (2x + 5)/(x + 2), if I didn't do anything dumb

btw I think Pete was wrong about x-intercent, it's -5/2

yo chan, if you post an equation, you gotta get the parentheses right man. I assume you meant:

y = 1/(x+2)+2, not: y = (1/x)+2+2

If its the first one (which it must otherwise they wrote 2+2 instead of 4 which is dumb), then Pete is mostly right.

domain is x is all reals but -2.

ballin gave you the solution in the case where the parentheses you gave us are the actual ones from the problem, which again I doubt it, you should check the problem to make sure. Also, have you never heard of wolframalpha? Best thing ever. You don't have to know any syntax at all really, because its really smart.

yeah in australia it used to be something like 50 hours too but then the prime minister was like: 'well people fudge the logbook hard, so if i increase the hours they have to do to 120, they'll still fudge a lot of it, but end up doing around about the desired 50 hours.'
