In my opinion Gen 3 has the best overalls starters. If I made a list of my top 100 favorite Pokemon, Gen 3 is the only generation where all 3 starters make the list.

im going really quick in game progress for LM3, i didn't expect to already be on the 9th floor by the 2nd day of playing

ive been watching astral chain from the sidelines and my god, a lot of stuff in the plot can be prevented if your main guy chooses to move instead of standing there flabbergasted

What is your everyone’s favorite generation of Pokémon? Mine is Generation 2.

I don’t know enough about what Pokémon come from which gen to comment tbh.

I will say that I've noticed a trend with the last couple sets of starters, they build up features, and then swap them out with unrelated features in the final evolutions.

Froakie line going from bubble scarf to tongue scarf, Chespin line suddenly dropping brown for beige, Popplio going from clown to mermaid? Torracat dropping elegant cat features for whatever you would call that Tony the Tiger freak, and then these new ones.

It's like they made a bunch of separate Pokemon and then tweaked the bare minimum of the designs to mash them together.

Probably my only criticism of the designs that go beyond me just not liking them.

Generation 4 here. It gave us loads of cool new evolutions to old Pokemon, and I still wish Game Freak would do that more. Also the music is great.

Controversial opinion, but Gen 6. Lots of solid new pokemon introduced.

Honorable mention to gen 5. My first foray into the series

Gen 6 is probably my least favorite just based on the Pokemon themselves. Theres only 8 Pokemon that I actually like.

You know..... I’m so disappointed with the new Pokémon in this dex..... I almost wish there was no hype or speculation about it. Like, we found out about the game on launch day and we were thus just automatically exposed to every new Pokémon with no buildup. Because I guarantee you, if I was just looking at the dex and saw these Pokémon as pre-existing ones, I wouldn’t have cared. I’d have just shrugged them off. But it was the hype and buildup, the months of hoping for something only to be given the exact opposite, that caused me to be disappointed. Does this make any sense?

I can't say whether or not we'll get 632, but I'm fairly confident we'll see more than 400.

The official regional Dex guidebook for SwSh has 480 pages.

Using past Regional Dex guidebooks as a reference, each page usually has 1-2 Pokemon. Megas got their own page, so I'll assume Gigantamax forms will as well. And then there's the additional pages required for the index, introduction, etc., which should take up 20-30 pages if this is strictly for the Dex.

Basically, in order to use up all 480 pages, each page would require no more than one of the 400 Pokemon, on top of Gigantamaxes and additional pages making up the other 80 pages. It's possible, but also very unlikely. Even the National Dex for USUM was about 90 pages shy (720) of the 807 Pokemon that existed at the time.
