Question for y'all. What's been your favorite reveal trailer so far?

:ultinkling:

:ultken::ultincineroar:
:ultpiranha:

:ultbanjokazooie:

For me its gotta be a tie between King K. Rool and Banjo with Ridley's being a close second.
:ultridley:, followed closely by :ultkrool: and :ultsimon::ultrichter:.

I want a FE Villain in Smash.
In retrospect, while he probably wasn't feasible due to likely requiring more changes then an Echo allows, the Black Knight would've been a great choice. He's one of the most popular villains in the franchise, has a good design, and he could've filled a superweight archetype that's not all that crowded.

Hmmmm. What “essential” characters from the Fire Emblem series do you FE fans think are missing?
My other post messed up. Here's a spoiler tag because some people get scared of posts over five lines long.
That's a really hard question to answer.

Of the soon-to-be sixteen main series entries, nine of them have characters in Smash as playable characters. Gaiden, Genealogy of the Holy War, Thracia 776, The Blazing Blade, The Sacred Stones, Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, and Three Houses are the only ones without any.

Of those, as of now, I feel like the Jugdral duology have the least reasons to get a playable character just due to difficulty implementing the Lords (Sigurd fights nigh exclusively on horseback, Seliph would literally be another Marth, and Leif...well, he stars in the least played game in the franchise. It'd be awesome if we got an antagonist like Arvis considering how popular he is (and we'd get Xander Mobus voicing a character again) but having Arvis without Sigurd or Seliph makes little sense.

The other games, though, all have merits for getting a character, I think.

- Gaiden/Shadows of Valentia has two very popular characters, Alm (sword and bow) and Celica (sword and magic), as its two main Lords. It introduced features like a traversable world map, non-story grinding options, and exploration, and has a magic system that's completely different from traditional Fire Emblem titles. Gaiden being remade into Shadows of Valentia gave it a massive boost in popularity and notability.

- The Blazing Blade was the first game to come to the west, and all three of its main Lords, Eliwood (sword and lance, though the latter is only on horseback), Hector (axe), and Lyn (sword and bow), are incredibly popular. This was a ton of people's first Fire Emblem game.

- The Sacred Stones has two popular main characters, Eirika (wields Sieglinde, the Thunder Sword) and Ephraim (wields Siegmund, the Flame Lance). This is also among the most accessible games in the franchise, being a GBA game that sold well, on the Wii U Virtual Console, AND was included in the 3DS Ambassador program. It's also among the easier games in the series so it's perfect for beginners. It also included things like branching promotion trees and reintroduced optional grinding, so it led to even more customizability and personalization.

- Three Houses shakes up the established formula a ton, and the three house leaders, Edelgard (axe), Dimitri (lance), and Claude (bow), have already become incredibly popular. The game also features tons of accessibility and customizability options, as well as the brand new Battalions mechanic. Also the first main series Switch game.

But even then there are characters from already represented games and that still feel like they're "missing." Or at least, I wouldn't bat an eye if they were added. Tiki is among the most recognizable characters in the franchise, being incredibly important to both Marth's games as well as Awakening. Caeda is also an incredibly important character, being Marth's fiancée and a major character, as well as one of the most popular within Archanea. The Black Knight from the Tellius games is one of the series's most popular and well known antagonists.

Right now the series has seven characters in Smash. The issue is that I can legitimately make a list of seven characters for each of the games' character sets with how many characters are important to each game, so it's tricky.

If we can answer this without starting an argument, I have another Pokémon question.

Name the Pokémon from each Gen that hasn't already been confirmed to be in SwSh that you want most.

Gen 1: Mewtwo
Gen 2: Lugia
Gen 3: Latias/Latios
Gen 4: Garchomp
Gen 5: Zoroark
Gen 6: Greninja (and since Goodra and Noivern are already in, he's the only one left I want.)
Gen 7: Lycanroc

Started a new OC of mine, right now, I'm at phase 0 you could say, drawing the character on paper before I start drawing him on pixel art.

It's especially tiring for me since since I ain't great at traditional drawing, but it's a necessary step to make it easier afterward.

So, wish me good luck.

Uh, so apparently I didn't notice Morgana doesn't appear in Joker's taunts during battles with 5 players or more, probably because of resources? Never saw that coming.

At least Joker gets more colors for his victory screen.

Gen 7: Lycanroc
I: Arcanine
II: Houndoom (or Scizor)
III: Salamence
IV: Luxray (or Gliscor)
V: Zoroark
VI: Greninja (or Aegislash)
VII: Lycanroc, Vikavolt or Silvally. Can't pick one.

Had to exclude legendaries and anything like that so I wouldn't get stuck.

With all the models for the Gen 1 pokemon already available via Pokemon Let's Go Pikavee (including Alola models), I think all will be available from Gen 1. They may not be catchable in the game, but since both SwSh and Let's Go are on Switch and likely connected to the same 'bank' system, you'll probably be able to send over anyone not already in the game.

That said:
Gen 1: Tentacruel (If my hypothesis is wrong)
Gen 2: Ampharos (We need a farm of Mareep & Wooloo)
Gen 3: Tropius (I don't like any of the designs from Gen 3, but if I'm forced to choose, then I choose the flying dinosaur with neck bananas)
Gen 4: Luxray
Gen 5: Scolipede
Gen 6: Gourgeist
Gen 7: Araquanid

Gourgeist is confirmed.

And I agree, I highly doubt the Gen 1 Pokémon can't be transferred. But if they aren't for whatever reason, I'd still like to know who people want most just out of sheer curiosity.

See, I'm not picky when it comes to Pokémon past Gen 2

If I could get other mons from my Gens, my favorites are: Mew, Gyarados, Charizard, Ditto, Porygon, Vulpix, Meowth, Eevee, Abra, Mr. Mime, Magmar, Lapras, Hoothoot, Togepi, Bellossom, Marill, Slowking, Snubbull, Donphan, Unown, Teddiursa, Entei, Lugia, and Celebi.

I was trying to only pick 5 more, but that became too hard.
