I mean, I disagree to a point.

It's a gimmick where the strong get stronger, and the weak get stronger, but they're still outclassed.

With Megas, it breathed new life into otherwise useless Pokemon like Pinsir, Mawile, Sableye, and while there were some that were clearly overtuned like Salamence, Metagross or Blaziken, the fact it gave pretty much dumpster Pokemon a niche was amazing.

I miss Mega Mawile
Mawile, Pinsir, Lopunny, Kangaskan(When it got nerfed in Gen 7), Beedril, Pidgeot, Absol, Aerodactyl, Gyrados

Even if all of these weren't top tier, they gave Pokemon that were outdated, useless, or otherwise just outclassed/never good in the first place a real fighting chance. The fact that BEEDRILL saw use was hilarious.

Yeah, I agree with giving lesser mons some use. I feel like with Regional Forms, they're trying to succeed again with making bad mons good (although wtf did they do to Galarian Darm).

Also, Shuckle going from a trash mon to top tier on SwSh with will never not be funny.

So, I was zooming by looking for the rest of the Digletts on the smaller islands, when my gaze drew me to two to three dots in the sky. These are outside the map, and looking at them, they seem to move, although this could just be an illusion due to how far they are.

Anyone know what they are?

Isn't Kanto Rapidash doing better than its Galarian form?

Because if so, oof.
It is
Well **** me lol.

....also has anyone seen Galarian Slowking?

I remember they teased it back with Galarian Slowbro, but there's 0 videos up at the moment, and people have clearly hacked a full dex. Did it get cut in development or...?

I just need to figure out the translation of the copyright info in this image. Right above Capcom
View attachment 275128
IItii, which is weird sounding to me so I went to Wikipedia, but they only list Capcom. Though it might refer to (Juzo) Itami. Even using Google to search for "イーティー" just brings up E.T.

For what it's worth, the translation patch removes said copyright and adds their own.

I almost started translating the title. Sawaito Homu, for the record.
Sorry, but it's not. It's "Suwiito Hoomu" also "Sweet Home". There's no "a" anywhere.

But yeeeeeah.

I got some strong opinions on the DLC but, all I'll say is

I'll take DLC over a 3rd version, even if my opinion on said DLC isn't the best.

It's worth noting that it was hard to tell the wa and wi apart apart, heh. Maybe I missaw the Su and Sa too. Welp. It was written a bit hard to tell. I thought it was Ma instead of Mu for a while too.

I'm mostly a beginner here. Hence the dashes confuse me on Iitii.

Dlc is a lot like the base game. Great ideas and characters, but poor execution in some departments, while doing great in other departments.

Gamefreak is half way there but haven’t completely hit the mark

I mean, I don't wanna vomit out my opinions on the DLC because I want to respect those that are having fun, but that's a lesser way of saying what I want to say.

The DLC feels more cohesive than the base game imo. And so far, I'm having a better expereince than the base game.

With that said, there are a lot of stuff that should have been in the base game, so I can see people getting a bit annyoed with it.

Base Game.

Not really a big fan of the way Pokemon has been implementing its DLC. I feel like Pokemon has just devolved into an EA like state where they release the same game but with minor tweaks.

I'm actually quite excited for Snap 2, though with them being cheeky with the title, why do I get a feeling it'll be moreso a remake of the original game but with new Pokemon and areas to explore?

Not that I'm complaining, but it'll take a bit more than that to get 60$ out of me, even though Snap2's been on my dream wishlist for years.

It's because it has the dreamed "NEW" in the title. That's almost never a good sign when it comes to Nintendo games.

Which is what really confuses me. I just can't figure out who owns Sweet Home. I think it's sage to say that the original game (and presumably film) was copyrighted to Itami, but then he died. I can't find anything about him leaving his ips to his wife or anything (though that would be a good assumption), and neither the game or film have been re-released as far as I can tell, except for possibly one DVD release which has CAPCOM's logo on it! On the MOVIE! Seriously, i wish I could just look at a government database and find out the answer to this. It's the same with US copyright. This stuff is supposed to be public knowledge correct?

Eh, New Super Mario Bros wasn't an issue when it was just the DS game.

Japanese only has a "wa" sound for W. It would be "Suitto".
Not true.
Along with the kana for we (ゑ in hiragana, ヱ in katakana), this kana was deemed obsolete in Japanese in 1946, and replaced with い and イ. It is now rare in everyday usage; in onomatopoeia and foreign words, the katakana form ウィ (U-[small-i]) is preferred.
So using "wi" is perfectly acceptable. Not to mention "Suitto" wouldn't make sense, because the "e" sound is elongated with a normal "t", as in, you know, "sweet". "Suitto" would be "スイット", which coincidentally also exists.
