Go for the Switch or even a Switch Lite.

I'll wait a few years for 3DS library when you'll be able to get some games for pennies.
Problem is, if you wait too long, games can get mad expensive. Some Gamecube games can be pretty easy to get, Wario World, Ultimate Spider-Man were easy to get. I believe Dreamcast and select PS2 titles are also going up in value now that there's less copies to go around.

I got the MMX collection on Gamecube for like 50 bucks, not too bad since it was fairly rare as is and deliberately went for a copy that had the cover.

But Melee Discs and FE: PoR will hit the wallet hard.

I just..... when there are only 5 slots left after Arms.... sighs...... I suppose you're right. I just think about how I would feel if he got in over literally anyone else and I get a little mad. Same with Byleth. And Corrin.

If Spring Man gets in and the result is we get Shovel Knight and Isaac then sure. That's a win. But..... sighs.... I'm just gonna drop it.
I'm telling ya man, it's waaaaay better for one's health to focus on what you like. I don't care for Corrin or Byleth either, but when I got Mega Man, Terry, Ridley, Ryu, Ken, Samus/Dark Samus, Simon/Richter, Bayo, Sonic, Hero, Banjo, Ganondorf, Yoshi, Little Mac, Meta-Knight and so on. You really see how the good outweighs the bad.

Sure, I'd pop off if Mega Man X got in, but even if he didn't the game has enough stuff I like. And who knows, one of the new characters, even if its someone I don't know, could end up being cool.

Well, this is all the games I have now:
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS
Pokemon Omega Ruby
Pokemon Moon
Super Mario 3D Land
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
Mario Kart 7
Kirby Triple Deluxe
New Super Mario Bros. 2
Miitopia
Dr. Mario Miracle Cure
Wario Land
Wario Land 2
Wario Land 3
BOXBOXBOY!
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe
Kirby's Dream Land 2
Kirby's Star Stacker
Balloon Fight

I'm fine with downloading games digitally, but I've been more catious of how much space will get used on my 2DS' SD card.
Alrighty then. Here's games I can suggest for now then.

If you like platformers: Gunvolt 1 and 2, Super Metroid(download only), Samus Returns, Mega Man Legacy Collection(if you don't already own them in some capacity), Shantae 1 and Risky's Revenge(download only), Mega Man X1, X2, and X3(download only), KIRBY PLANET ROBOBOT, Demon's Crest, DKC1-3 should be downloadable on there too.

If you like fighting games(and more importantly, someone to play them with): Street Fighter 4 3D Edition, Tekken 3D Prime, DoA Dimensions, DBZ Extreme Butoden.

Resident Evil Revelations is also pretty good. I've heard mostly good things about Dillion's Rolling Western as well.

I know GameStop went under in the US but do you guys not have a chain of second hand stores that sells stuff like DVDs and games?

For example we have a chain called CEX in the UK and Ireland that sells the likes of second hand games instead of being pretty hard to get. Managed to get some rare finds for cheap.
For example Melee costs about £15 or $20.

It sucks seeing people think all cops or people on one political side are bad (instantly assuming such stuff and hating on people even if those people are trying to be respectful and reasonable in their replies and such) when they may not know the full picture and, afaik for cops, they can’t even do anything about those outside their own district/area and shouldn’t be held responsible. Heck some people are even hateful when a cop does try to do something good...but I don’t really know much about the law enforcement dudes, so whatever I guess...

I really wish people would be less accusatory and assuming of people and more understanding/open minded. The world isn’t black and white, it’s a bit more complicated.

As for looters, everything surrounding them is annoying. They’re attacking not only big businesses, but also small family-ran ones that would unlikely be able to “easily replace stuff” as people say. Yeah, lives are more important, yet that doesn’t mean we can’t be concerned about both, and what’s the point in attacking the businesses anyway? They are completely unrelated to the issue. It’s frankly just plain stupid.

I realize looters are separate from the real protestors though, or at least most of them are - I would think they would just be selfish and opportunistic, using the protests as an excuse as if they actually care, trying to blend in with the real protesters - but it’s frickin annoying seeing people online say bullcrap like “it’s a justifiable form of political expression” as if it’s okay or even makes any sense, and some people rioting and looting these places have hurt people, have injured them badly, or have outright taken lives. I don’t condone violence, but they could at least use their brains and actually attack places that make sense to attack if it being a good form of political expression is somehow the case.

Really I don’t see why no one is brainstorming a better way to go about things. Why not one huge gathering/peaceful protest across one of the big cities or more? What about a huge online thing, something much bigger than what’s going on currently? All of these sorts of things at once or soon after each other...? I’m sure it’s complicated there as well, idk, but I feel that if people stopped and thought about things, letting themselves have a clear head, they could think of something really big and good...
I just want there to be an apology.

I try to do that. It's just.... hard not to feel like there was or would be wasted potential.

I never get this argument. It's not like a single reveal will affect the later ones when they're all set in stone.

If we get Spring Man, that doesn't mean we'll get any other "promotion" characters after that, just like how Banjo's reveal didn't magically turn Terry and Byleth into long-awaited fan favorites.
The speculation scene has a very... enthusiastic attitude to doors being opened. Bring one character people didn't expect or break one perceived rule and suddenly EVERYONE's on the table again, which of course is nowhere near the truth. If we so much as got one Assist promoted EVER, that's a Pandora's Box the speculators will never EVER close no matter how unrealistic it is. How many times do we already hear SmashTubers say "this is my wishlist, so there are no rules" or something to that effect? It'll get to the point where if you even suggest that there are rules, fans will run you out of town. It's already at the stage where if you say "just because X doesn't mean Y" then the response will always be "but X happened once so Y can happen" and suddenly you're not allowed to have that thought anymore. It's a really toxic level of hype, tbh, and we don't need Sakurai to add fuel- no, an entire gas station to that particular fire.

I usually buy some second hand games from CEX too, I bought some games for the Nintendo 64 that I was able to purchase a while back.

Due to a bad experience with them once, I don't buy from them heavily unless their is a rare game I wanted to get.

However a store like it would be useful to have something like that for our American friends.

I've actually been interested in trying out the Azure Striker Gunvolt series for some time now, I'm not sure if I can handle playing a Metroid game (or any Metroidvana style game for that matter) but I could give them a try. I own a 2DS so SNES VC is out of the picture. I've been wanting to pick up Planet Robobot since I've enjoyed Triple Deluxe. I'm not very keen on trying the Shantae series again from my experience with the first game.

Couldn't get into Extreme Butoden thanks to the demo, and I also used to own the MM: Legacy Collection before I sold it away. Thanks for the suggestions, though!

Took me a couple of hours just to find two Ice Cabbages for Colony 6.

I definitely can't wait to relive the struggle for some Black Liver Beans...

I was thinking about changing my avatar but then the internet is down.
But that picture of Mechanica is so cute tho.

The only bad experience I had with CEX was when I was about to purchase Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii a few years ago and they could not find the disc and told me to come back later once they find it in which I do not have the time to return as I have to be elsewhere.

I would say out of the two Shantae games I have played (and beaten,) I would certainly recommend Pirate's Curse over Risky's Revenge.
The one caveat Pirate's Curse has is that Shantae does not have her genie powers due to the events in Risky's Revenge.
On the flip-side, the pirate gear Shantae uses instead makes her very fun to control.

The first game is honestly a product of its time and can be easily skipped. I think you’ll enjoy the later games more, they work to fix the issues of the first game and are much less tedious. I’d recommend playing or even just watching a playthrough of Risky’s Revenge to understand what’s going on for Pirate’s Curse.

I'm familar with the story so far thanks to BrainScratchComms. I'll maybe try out the later games at some point.

Anyone ever play Looney Tunes Acme Arsenal? So much nostalgia. Even if the motion controls drive me nuts and the game isn’t very..... much.
The Looney Tunes game I played were Duck Amuck on NDS (based on that iconic Daffy short) and the PS2 game based on the movie Back In Action.

Found out my twin brother is going to visit for a week this month when we were denied that on our birthday week thanks to that virus.

Need to ask my job those days off.

So, I have been using Chaos Control in New Horizons to the point where I've gotten myself a giant field of flowers.

I'm still a 2 star.

Isabelle, I love you to pieces, but I'm about to smack your ass, if you keep pranking me like this.

Edit: I hate this post.

Acme Arsenal was the only one I ever owned. But I wish I could have played Lost in Time and Time Busters.

Was Duck Amuck any good?
It was alright I guess.

Your typical minigame collection for the NDS.

It did have some creative use of the touch controls.

Not the ant, mind you. The red lizard. He's very cute. Buys bugs. Mm.

Been playing Hitman 2 tonight.

Man is getting a clean kill so satisfying. You're like a viper ready for the exact moment to catch its prey.

Just did the Miami level. Killed the race car driver by causing an "accident" with the wheels.

And the expo guy was a bit more patient. Waited for him to come down which took like 20 minutes and then when I was alone with him and a guard out in the hallway shot both of them in the back of the head.

I gotta say, outside of needing to be in an exact mood to play, I think getting it and The Outer Worlds has been the best backlog game money I've spent in a long time.

And also don't get the latter on the Switch. It looks absolute trash.

So I see that my Springman boring post got attention. Let me elaborate.

Springman can be fun withing the cintext of Smash. My main issue with him would be the whole hype up thing: They hyped up every single ARMS character as possibly getting in, but then making it just Springman would be a hype killer, because they would go for the safest pick when they advertise it can be anyone, even the off the walls picks. It's kinda like the whole Byleth thing, sure, he's unique, but all this build up and hype, but then it turned out to be another FE character.

This just made me realize that he could pull of an uwu if he really wanted to and that scares me.
x'D Oh God, on my end that REALLY didn't came to mind, but I guess you are right! It would still be adorable, though.
