Maybe they should've just done a Pokemon Stadium for Switch instead. No plot or open world to deal with.
Just 800+ Pokemon in HD glory and lots of sweet new move animations.

Then their work is already partially done for the next mainline game.

Also, the competitive balance was stupid lol

There were so many problems with Gen 1... Psychic types being broken af, Missingno glitch, Focus Energy and Dire Hit doing the complete opposite of their description, how critical hits worked, etc.

That's the Gen 1 redone in the GO styling.

I'm talking beautiful HD remakes of every Pokemon, with top-notch animations. Then the battle system is taken care of. The next mainline game only needs to create the rest. The new Pokemon, the story and world.

Still a LOT of work left to do, but the big part that people care about (the collection and battling of Pokemon) is already in place.

Look man. It's SO ****ing obvious this thing was meant to be a literal tank. The purple marking on it's torso are ****ing tank tracks too. Make it lose flight, make the arms giant cannons and the wings missile launchers, it'd be literally perfect. At least Kamen Rider gave me a literal tank last year

Sillvally, decidueye, lurantis, wishiwashi, mimikyu, golisopod, bewear, melmetal/meltan.

That’s my list off the top of my head. No idea how many are in but I think a few of them are.

Masuda is merely giving the cut culture people what they want after Sakurai cut (no pun intended) that short after 3 months for Ultimate.

I love me some Gen 5 but some of their equivalents to Gen 1 mon are not great

Really not keen on the Timburr line - the bulging veins are ****ing nasty; much prefer Machop & Friends

Also even though its just been made, not keen on Zeraora - its design screams 'please let me be the next Lucario' (who I'm not too fond of either)

I know Im getting Three Houses, trying hard to ignore my fear of male not having many male romance options and having to play as a girl to romance those I wanted to as a boy

Can't tell you much bout FE but Hotel Mario 2: Luigi Boogaloo honestly looks great, with v good visuals, the devs clearly listening to feedback and some fun new additions to the gameplay. Plus 8 player looegee mode

Considering the game looks poorly baked 5 months before release after +2 years of production, I dunno what super improvement we should expect.
