XC2 had a good run as my favorite game on the Switch but that's set to change very soon.

So I spent some time having a look in detail about the Xenoblade 1 remake and looking at comparison shots. As I talked to Lamperouge the other day, it's good but feels like more time for experimentation for the graphics would have done more.

While stuff like character models and water effects look amazing and far better for example, it really does feel like they could have done more to it mainly environments.

It's just in some ways it feels more upscale than remake expect the obvious like the new epilogue and music. Just think a new lighting system or more detail in the environments would have made it stand out more.

I still gotta ask is Ninjara from the same developers as Splatoon because they have pretty much the same design oddly enough...

I won't lie, it's quite hard to tell when you're serious and when you aren't considering how confident you've been in certain picks before. It's just not very obvious.

Surprised because in terms of design they're pretty much alike.

It could be a "follow the leader" situation, where other developers see how popular Splatoon is and want to get in on that by making a similar game. Take Sonic the Hedgehog, which inspired games like Bubsy, Aero the Acro-Bat, or Awesome Possum, or in a much more recent example, the MOBA craze after the success of League of Legends and/or DotA.

Considering the first time I was super confident in not just one but two characters (Erdrick and Banjo, specifically both and at E3) I was right, it's a hard habbit to get out of. But I think at this point I'm mostly joking when I'm "confident".

The worst thing that can happen to Ninjala is if people and the media start calling it the "Splatoon Killer".

That is one surefire way to kill a franchise before it arrives. Look at "Pokemon Killers". Look at all the "Sonic and Mario killers". Look at all the "Halo Killers".


Literally, only one is still alive, and that's Sonic.
