I already dropped ND's games after Jak ended, and while I'm sure Uncharted is fine, it isn't up my alley.

But the way they screw over their employees makes it easier to not support them. Granted, nearly all major game companies do shady **** and hurt people, so it ends up being a pick-and-choose sort of deal. And that's not even getting into other major companies in other fields.

Thinking about trying the Brawl mod Project M EX Remix that has a roster just as big as Ultimate's.

But not now as they say you should expect occasional crashing.

Trying to decide what to play through next, I'm thinking Sakura wars 5 since it'll be a while till sakura wars 6 comes to my house.

The uncharted games are currently free on the PSN, I've been playing through the first game and I can see why this series was popular, Nathan is a pretty likeable and engaging protagonist, I would want him in smash if I actually respected Naughty dog.

The story... its bad... REALLY bad..

Like.... its SJW levels of bad
Oh God. I promised my best friend that I won't read the story, as long as he doesn't for Ghost but yeah that sounds ominous.

Honestly Uncharted 2 and 3 were peak Naughty Dog and that has long passed. The Last of Us was good but it took itself way to seriously for my taste. I think they should have stopped with tLoU with that game but we just HAD to get a sequel.
I didn't play The Last of Us, but really it had no reason to have a sequel, but no, companies like to milk. Should have been a one and done.

Uncharted 2 is one of my favourite games of all time, 3 is great but 4 could have done better. The acting and the writing was definitely its' strongest point so it's very worrying to hear.

It's a shame that it's the companies that always crunch their employees are the ones who get high praise and GOTY's more often than not. And those who don't tend to be the laughing stock.

Like, Ubisoft and Bethseda are laughing stocks, but there's a reason why their games are often as buggy as they are, and it's because those companies don't practice crunch, and release games as is. Yeah, it's bugged, and they should probably utilize delays more often, but I would much rather work on a finished game that's bugged, but remain mentally healthy, over a non bugged game that took me 70 hour work weeks to complete.

Loved the first Chibi-Robo. Sucks that the series went downhill afterwards.
Anyway I just started playing Axiom Verge today.

Ok. Playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii and... wow there’s a difficulty spike in world 2. And I’m already getting sick of the motion controls.

Let me put it this way, there are entire games I haven’t played and am reluctant to play because of the spite/low poly graphics
Well, that's on you.

Graphics don't make a game. I don't need the newest ultra 4kHD graphics with real time sweat texture details to enjoy a good story and fun gameplay. I still go back to games like Earthbound, ALttP and SMBWorld and enjoy them completely.

Graphics are NICE, don't get me wrong, but all that glitters isn't gold. If the game is crap beneath all those fancy graphics, well, you can't polish a turd.

You don't need graphics to tell a good story, just like a book doesn't need a movie to paraphrase its 300 pages. Sometimes, simplicity is best.

Burmese Pythons vs. Asian Giant Hornets when btw?

Two invasive species will eventually collide!

That so should be an movie.
Wouldnt the hornets just stink the snakes to death?
I feel like every single month, there has to be an argument on Twitter on whether or not Tropic Thunder is racist or not.

It's tiring.
I wouldnt worry about it. Its mostly kids that have never seen thr movie that are aguing it is. Because everyone that has seen the move know its a satire that talks about that stuff in a satirical way. That being said, I ****ing love tropic thunder

The RDJ thing is hella ironic considering that another Avenger, Scarjo, did the exact same thing but 100% unironic.

In fact, a little too much actors believe they can do the same thing. Feels like Tropic Thunder's message is actually still relevant in a Hollywood that tries so hard to push diversity*

*Actually just 2 minority actors written by 60 year old rich white dudes who have never seen a minority in their lives.

And you’re missing out on a lot of amazing games because of that. I’d say you’re judging a book by its cover, but the cover’s not really that bad or at least I don’t see why sprites or low poly is a problem. That’s not a good way to approach games. Graphics and gameplay are not synonymous. By that logic, The Order: 1886 would be getting glowing reviews and most indie games would be hated.

Well my 70 year old great aunt just pulled an "I lived *****" moment on me after having lost contact with her after going into intensive care back when the outbreak started.

. By that logic, The Order: 1886 would be getting glowing reviews and most indie games would be hated.
I don't know when else to bring this up but I kinda find the 8bit aesthetic kinda overrated and I wish more indie games tried more diverse kinds of games, like 16 and 32 bit.

I think a lot of 16 and 32 bit games age perfectly from a visual standpoint. And some 8 bit games have nice style to them too. Plenty of great 3D looks for games too. I think the main issue are realistic games that age poorly. Though more games are getting better at not aging terribly.

PS1/64 3D era is mostly jank looking though. At least to me.

These N64 demo leaks are pretty cool. Haven’t seen the GameCube and Wii stuff though (aside from some info stuffs).

Mirror House Cornflakes is a funny concept.

I feel like the philosophy that continues to hold up best is that of which was brought up by Miyamoto once.

"A delayed game is eventually good. A rushed game is forever bad."

Now, of course, in today's era of patches, this quote is a little dated (No Man's Sky is the perfect example of this, game started out with a HORRID launch then proceeded to get an insane redemption that is continuing on to this day.) However, ultimately, I think companies should still approach game development with this mindset.

Ehhhh, we still have examples of crunch even with delays, CDPR is especially notorious for this

Finally started ZX, and so far, 3 things:

1) The pixel art is beautiful, the animation on some sprites really sell the action of the characters.
2) The gameplay is really smooth, still gotta learn it but so far it's still alot of fun.
2.5) I already lost myself in the beginning, so while I know it, I feel like it's going to be harder once the game really open up
3) Why is the first boss harder than the second & third one?

Has anyone ever seen Bad Boys? Really fun buddy-cop film.

Gonna get around to watching its sequel and the third film (When that comes out on NetFlix presumably).
