Yeah, all in all this is a good price
unless you believe they saved the 200+ old pokemon specifically for DLC, the way Capcom used to withhold content on the disc to sell to you later. I don't believe that's the case, so strictly looking at it monetarily, it's a reasonable asking price.
Pokemon games have been $40 since the DS, with Pearl/Diamond releasing over 12 years ago. With that in mind:
Pearl: $40
Platinum: $40
$80 Total
Sword: $60
Expansion Pass: $30
$90 Total
When you account for inflation over the course of over a decade, plus the addition of full 3D modeling rather than sprite work, I'd say the price is absolutely consistent.
What people will argue is whether the value of the game's
content has lowered, but they'll be arguing about price because they're idiots.
