Sakurai confirmed a few weeks ago that #5 is finished, so the only thing that would be left is the actual trailer.

Which, of course, depending on what kinda trailer it is, could vary from being ready right now, to not being ready until...Christmas.. I would say.

Reminder that Capcom's supposed to have something for the 21st/22nd. It's a whole new reveal, If I remember correctly. I hope it's Mega Man related now that the series is on the upswing at the moment. But it could be AA7 or SF6 or really anything, except RE3RE, since that WAS shown not too long ago. But maybe I'm wrong and it'll still be RE stuff.

Boy we sure would have egg on our faces if The Game Awards didn't reveal a Smash character and instead said, "Mr. Sakurai will show off the next character next Wednesday." Thus the "Who's Game Awards worthy?" thing would mean less than nothing. Wouldn't that be funny?

I hate how everyone right now is being all like “it was obvious there wasn’t gonna be Smash! It was stupid to think so in the first place.” Because no it ****ing wasn’t. They had every reason to do it. People were not in the wrong to expect it and they have every right to be upset.

No one's saying anyone was in the wrong.


But a LOT of people were dead set on "It's happening!!!"


In situations like this, it's always best to keep a viewpoint of "Could happen, probably won't."

It’s not just fp5. It’s that nothing that was shown was in my wheelhouse except maybe that weird Chinese game that I looked away from while they were showing to check my phone and I guess no more heroes (despite the fact that it wasn’t a reveal). No platformers. No hack n slashes. No fighting games. Just shooters and weird dark souls clones and ****ing Facebook games.

I'm kinda in the middle, I don't give a **** about anything at the VGA's(in fact, MTG: Legends has my interest piqued, if only for the point of knowing wtf Hasbro is doing this time) and I wasn't legit expecting anything at the VGA's but I forgot to hype check myself.

Here's how I see it.

The more we wait, the more we'll get. It sucks that we have to wait longer, guys, but what we would have gotten tonight would have been a teaser with no gameplay and possibly not even a real release date. When they reveal whoever as FP5, they'll be far more ready, we'll have more content, and maybe, just maybe, even a look at who post pass #1 is. So just wait. We have plenty of content to play already, Ultimate is already a very full game. Take this time to appreciate elements of the game you haven't yet. Pick up a new character and run through classic mode or homerun contest or play online. There is plenty that you have yet to enjoy fully I'm sure.
