I feel like, if Death Stranding wins game of the year, it might be considered a conflict of interest, seeing as the guy who founded and hosts the Game Awards is in the game. I believe he doesn't have a say in the voting process, but it might still be an issue.

I think the biggest difference between Red Dead Redemption 2 and Death Stranding is that RDR2 was almost universally praised while even some lifelong Kojima fans don't like Death Stranding.
