Alright here's a pet peeve of mine.

I don't like when people wear band T-shirts for bands and don't know a single song by them. A lot of conversations end up going like this.

* Sees girl wearing Pink Floyd or Rolling Stones shirt*

"Oh hey, I love your shirt!"

"Thank you!"

"What's your favorite song by them?"

"Oh, I don't like the band I just thought the shirt was cool."

Like...why? So you know it's a band, you think the bands name is cool, and you think the bands branded Tees are really cool, but you didn't think their music is worthwhile to even check out? I don't get it, man. Not at all.

I end up telling them to go listen to Comfortably Numb or Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2 for Pink Floyd and Gimme Shelter, Sympathy for the Devil, or Beast of Burden for The Rolling Stones.
Ok but aesthetic is more important

It’s similar to the people who wear a Deadpool shirt and don’t have any moment from the comics, the movies or even the games that they remember well enough.

Can be slightly odd and annoy one a bit, but in the end it doesn’t bother me awfully.

Ok but aesthetic is more important
That is a huge truth, ngl.

I mean certain bands are worth more for their appearance and aesthetic than anything else.

Take Kiss for example. You telling me that band got by on music more than iconic facepaint?

Certain bands maybe, but Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd aren't really those types of bands. Rolling Stones got popular because their music was good and it was unique. Pink Floyd got popular because they're somberness. I don't think I've ever heard a happy Pink Floyd song and that got then a lot of attention.

I dunno, like I said it's a pet peeve but I feel like people should branch out more. If you like the way something looks you might also like the way they sound, it just takes some exploring. Especially when those bands sound like this.

Gamefreak and creatures inc have seemingly parted ways. This could be big for the future of Pokémon

They handle the models among other things so this is pretty big.

ARE YOU ****ING SERIOUS
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creatures_(company)

"Creatures, Inc. (株式会社クリーチャーズ Kabushiki-gaisha Kurīchāzu) is a Japanese video game development company affiliated with The Pokémon Company.[1] It was founded by Tsunekazu Ishihara in November 1995, "

they make all the models for the games, tcg and I think even the anime
Well ****. This is pretty soon after SwSh's release too, so perhaps relations weren't good for a while. I hate to bring this subject up again, but I wonder if this ties into NatDex cuts?
dunno about that, pretty odd wording if that's the case. Raxxel Raxxel ?
I was mainly asking what made Creatures Inc. significant to Gamefreak and why this was important.

Also creatures inc has had this job since the original games. If they aren’t a primarily partner anymore then that’s a big omission

Evidence suggests the models were unchanged from sun and moon. Perhaps creatures inc just couldn’t do it anymore and failed to provide adequate updates which in turn forced them to reuse old models.

might be a stretch but I could see that as a possibility, but the game being rushed probably didn’t help either

They helped with the models for Pokken too though so I doubt that's the case.

According to Wikipedia:

Creatures, Inc. is the successor to Ape, Inc., whom worked on the Mother series with Shigesato Itoi as their CEO during that time. Nowadays, Creatures makes the models for the mainline Pokémon games, and they also work on the trading card game, toys, and (I guess) spinoff games.

I am quite concerned about the future of Pokémon with Creatures Inc. gone.

Makes me wonder if Game Freak keeps the rights to use those models or if they have to create new ones from scratch and Creatures Inc. owns them. And in that case, I wouldn't be surprised if that has something to do with the Dex cull. These kind of things don't usually happen overnight, who knows what's been going on behind the scenes for the past months, maybe even years.

Or Intern-kun just did an oopsie.

There was a problem fetching the tweet
It’s worth noting that tweet probably refers to his originally list from the other day that he already attempted to clarify, not his list from this morning, as much as I’d like one of them to start backing Phoenix.

They have billions in the bank. They'll be fine.
I mean, assuming the worst(Creatures being disbanded) the next games will probably be in haywire(because the next game would have to be in development now for GF to sustain the 1-year release thing)
I could easily bet that the next games will be even worse than whatever the **** SS became, so uh....wouldn't keep my hopes up for a better next game.
Them having money is meaningless if you can't use that money in any meaningful way.

Apparently there have been updates on the Golden Sun trademark from months ago:

https://www.j-platpat.inpit.go.jp/t020

According to the Golden Sun thread, the last time the trademark got an update similar to this was a while before Dark Dawn released.

Hopefully this does mean we may get a Switch game in the future.

I'm more interested in The Pokemon Company itself to be honest. There may be some sort of regulation in place that makes sure that Game Freak, Creatures, and Nintendo all have their designated place in the development of mainline Pokemon and that might be getting a shakeup.

Game Freak is development, Creatures is modeling and other entertainment, and Nintendo is Publishing. This could make it to where those 3 are tasked with doing those certain things and only those certain things generally prohibiting other, outside, companies from doing any of them. The Board, I assume they have a board, is likely looking to reevaluate all that if that's the case meaning that mainline Pokemon games for the future may be handled VERY differently from past games.

Like, for instance say TPC has decided that Game Freak should only be a general co-developed of the title, Creatures should only handle products associated with the product and not be directly associated with the game itself, and Nintendo continue to be publisher. This leaves a very wide, open slot for a company to handle CORE development of the title. If that turned out to be the case we could see Namco, Monolith, Square, Level-5, even Nintendo themselves take over that Core Development. Which means... Pokemon might be changing a lot.

I've been done with Sabi and Vergeben for a long time now, especially after the mess they've made with all that deconfirmation list hoopla.

I'm not banking on anything on this as Nintendo updated trademarks for A LOT of IPs over the years. You got to update your trademarks every ten years otherwise you'll lose it.

Without going into specific detail, simply answer “yes” or “no” please.

Has fighter 5 leaked yet?
What's up guys, it's ya bois Vergeben and Sabi here, and today we're going to fight over who's disconfirmed and who's not all while wasting your time because we both don't know crap and just blackmail everyone for juicy info that'll give us e-cred.

However, they already renewed/updated the trademark last year.
