I saw this over at Bulbapedia. For most of us we agreed that we were skeptical of it since we found it odd that despite them going completely off of memory/notes they knew all of the Pokemon returning/not returning on top of all the other details they mentioned. It also didn't help that the leak had a few details shared with some fake leaks we've seen, such as:

An Electric type Galarian Chatot and evolution.

Though I'll admit, having similarities to popular fan ideas doesn't make a leak automatically fake.

In the first handful of gens we had more than a tiny handful of info, your point?

Gen 3-5 had large amounts of information given via Corocoro/Pokemon Sunday and other similar media, yet the only final evolution we got before release was Blaziken. Just because we got less info then the blowout that SM did doesn't mean that there was only a 'tiny amount of info' given.

Just keep on the creative team from GameFreak. The only thing they’re good at is actually coming up with the Pokémon.

I’m not trying to garner sympathy with a sob story, but I really feel the need to explain why this upsets me so much.

Last year I was emotionally traumatized. Without going into detail (because I really don’t want to) my entire worldview of the people I knew and loved was ruined, I was depressed for months, I felt betrayed and weak and vulnerable. And as silly as it sounds the one thing keeping me going was Pokémon. It made me happy in this terrible time, and the promise of a new game in 2019 kept me moving forward to a brighter future.

So to be here, in my long awaited 2019, and this is what I get. It feels like I wasted my time. Like I kept moving forward for nothing.

Oh, I definitely agree, I just felt like being a little bit nice and giving them at least some leeway. But then again, giving them an inch and them taking a mile is how we ended up where we are now.

Pokemon just deserves better than Game Freak.

It's sad, but I agree. I'm giving them a pass for Gen 1 and 2, due to inexperience and probably also shock, seeing how big Pokemon got. Gen 3-5 weren't even that bad, to me it started going downhill with the 3DS. I even gave them a pass with XY, thinking it's that empty and messy due to laying the groundwork for future 3d games and the issues will be ironed out in the later games. Not to mention the high-poly models they made with the intent of future proofing them (we've seen how that turned out). Sadly, that faith just seemed to be misplaced.

Where old GF were incompetent but showed love for the franchise at least, Gen 6+ just feels lifeless in comparison. For me HGSS and BW is still the pinnacle and at least Gen 1 is really fun to mess around with, considering all the glitches. I know it might sound harsh, but it's just sad seeing a franchise you loved so much getting this kinda treatment.

Yeah, I agree. Game Freak – or at least the current artist in SwSh – does a dang good job at designing (most) Pokémon and characters. I still like the art style to this day and age, and I get excited seeing what new designs they come up with. It's just their business decisions that bother me.

I still think Mega Charizard X is my favorite of the forms they gave him. Added Dragon Type and that Tough Claws is pretty clean. Even Flame Charge can hit like a truck, and you still get the speed boost off of it.

Nah I’m with Gwen on this one. For those of us who have been constantly underwhelmed by each new update, we should be allowed to voice our opinion. If you’re excited about the games, great. Enjoy! It’s the second biggest video game series of all time. You’ll be in good company. We are allowed to be disappointed too.

First of all, I never said it doesn't. Second of all, it's irrlevant, other Pokemon have fans, too and next to none (bar very few) get this kind of preferential treatment. Charizard is often use in advertisement, got two Megas, a special Dynamax form, remained as a standalone in Smash 4 when trainer was cut, was the main Pokemon of Red in Origins (despite Manga Red having Bubasaur), is shown to be one of Ash's strongest mons in the anime when it appears (it was also his only Kanto starter that evolved) an even to this day it gets a lot of love in the TCG.

So don't give me that "Charizard has fans" crap. Those fans have it good enough, they'd survive without yet another from of pandering just once. And as I said, other mons have fans, too.

My mood gets brought down all the time by people criticizing what I love. Often times for no good reason. But nobody cares. I was just told to bear it and let people express their own opinions.

May I suggest new hobbies or finding new shows to enjoy? Like, MHA really helped me out with how the main protag is an outcast due to his handicap

New hobbies as Gwen mentioned. I'd also recommend exercise. Nothing makes you feel stronger, faster, and healthier. Plus you get better at defending yourself and learn to build better eating habits.

It starts by learning how to do push-ups and sit-ups. Look up online videos if you're interested.

I’m still gonna play Pokémon because the game doesn’t look like **** to me, but I will try to stop using it as a coping method for my myriad of issues.
