RPG where Luigi is possessed instead of Bowser for once and you have to actually fight your own brother without the use of Bro. Moves but then Bowser comes in and raises your spirits and fights with you to take down Luigi as the final boss and you gain "Rival Moves" or they call it "Dirty Tricks"

Also, with the addition of tbe Super Crown, character-specific power-ups can now exist within multiplayer Mario game.

It'd be cool if they implement specific power-ups that can be used for things like a secret or to solve some puzzle or something in a 3D World-esque game.

I'm actually kind of excited for a Monster Hunter movie. It won't be high art, but the games themselves are shallow, ridiculous stories aimed at creating spectacle, so an Anderson movie can work just fine.

Just so I'm 100% sure going into this, do I use gambits to break their armour?

I think that part of my problem is that Byleth was killed early on, and I reclassed him recently, so his stats might not have been ideal. I think I'll go back to his story-related power-up and see if that makes a difference.

Gambits will always breal the armor tile they hit but you can also make use of the monster's weapon weakness. Some are naturally weak to certain weapon types and hitting their armor with them will break that tile instantly. It changes from monster to monster but they all have an icon next to their name indicating which one it is.

Can I just take this time to vent about CTRNF’s store? I really don’t like it. I don’t like the rotating nature. Why can’t they just list everything all the time? Why does it have to change every 24 hours? Makes it so frustrating to try to get the Grand Prix characters.

I think they’re arrogant. They know they can just slap their name or Mario or Pikachu or Link or whatever on something and it will make billions. They have so much stockpiled cash that they can basically just do whatever they want. Their games have no unique personality and are only popular because of nostalgia. And their guaranteed success chokes out competition because people get mad when other people even dare to try their hands at certain genres that Nintendo have a monopoly on. They are a toxic company that needs to be knocked down so the rest of the industry can thrive.

And now you can see why I didn’t want to bring this up again. So let’s just leave this here and move on.

Unnamed Goose from Untitled Goose Game should be in Smash because it would give us our first character that falls within the Chaotic Evil alignment and Smash is severely underrepresented in terms of characters that are ***** for no reason.

Don’t know why game movies have to do that and not book or tv show movies though. Seams a bit unfair.

Pretty sure that's going to be a plot point.

It's confirmed that armor and weapons from the games are in the film, so my guess would be the soldiers get their butts handed to them with their modern gear and end up having to learn how to wield the classic weapons (probably in a humorous montage), before a big final showdown featuring various weapon types from the games going up against an Elder Dragon.

Isn't Milla the director's wife? Or Anderson's wife if he's not the director?

Which would certainly explain the empowerment in RE compared to the other characters.....and make that one scene with all of her clones creepy in hindsight.

So. One of Arlo’s constant smash predictions has been a Monster Hunter Character. But he always says it will be a customizable fighter with “its own character creation menu right there in the game”. So my question to you is... how possible is that? And how far could the idea be taken and still have it be a viable fighter?

My biggest problem with the Monster Hunter movie is that by premise alone they already seem to be missing the point of it. The use of modern military soldiers are already a big red flag since Monster Hunter has never had anything to do with those elements, and there doesn't seem to a focus on any of Monster Hunter's general themes like the balance of nature. On first impression alone it comes off as just another typical military are drawn into fantasy world and must help fantasy character to defeat a common enemy and (maybe) go home, there's nothing that's inherently Monster Hunter about its story or thematics.

Grantee, as more trailers come out it could show more of those elements, but as of now it just seems to be an adaptation that only draws from the most superficial of details.

It's not. We already have Miis for that and they were compatible with a console app.

I think a better approach would be making their moves versatile, so that you can choose to use them differently. Like Bayonetta's Bullet Arts or Hero's charge levels. Less interesting, but actually probable to realize.

Why can't we talk about potential female fighters without censorship issue coming up half of the time?

Morrigan would be amazing, but considering Darkstalkers is a cult classic at best, I don't think people are sleeping on her chances. She doesn't have much.
