Paper Mario is my second most wanted for a reason - everyone says their favourites have moveset potential, but Paper Mario really has it in spades. And he definitely couldn't be an echo as unlike regular Mario, he doesn't have visible legs, ergo the animations wouldn't fit

Also really want more Paper Mario remixes

Yeah, the guy has a lot of potential for moves.

I just hope it isn't Sticker Star and Color Splash. It should probably represent what people like about the Paper Mario games. He could use a few of the teammates from the first 2 games. Like Yoshi for his dash animation and dash attack. Or one of the bombs for a Down Special or something.

I don’t think it’d be possible for PM to have a full on costume since that would take more work as a 2D sprite rather than making and rigging a new 3D model.

The only palettes that come to mind are Fire Mario, and colors based on Luigi, Wario and Waluigi since you can swap to those in TTYD.

Don't get me wrong, I love Rawk Hawk's theme, but I was trying to give a fairly even spread between the games (well the good ones, that is - though Sticker Star's track got in on the basis of being such a banger) and having a mix of battle and non battle themes

Agree re Pokemon, though my most wanted Smash-like game would be for Zelda, especially as it doesn't seem the series will be getting many more characters in Smash itself. Basically Hyrule Warriors, but with Smash's depth of gameplay and not an absence of the Capcom games.

If Paper Mario got in, he should take inspiration from all of his games, not just the first 2, otherwise, that would be a poor representation of PM as a whole.

But the absolute worst would be if he only took inspiration from Paper Jam, like, why.

Also, don't underrate Color Splash's soundtrack. Like, at all.

Toxapex can definitely be a slow tank character, who focuses more on defence.
Nihelgo or whatever her name was could work, she was the most prominent Ultra Beast.

If it were up to me, I'd go with Salazzle or Zeraora. Seems like out of all the Pokemon you listed, they're the ones who are most popular and most likely to fit well in a fighting game.

Out of your list, I'd choose Pheromosa, as Ultra Beasts were a feature unique to Gen 7 and important to the wider plot. Alolan forms were also specific to Gen 7, I guess, but it doesn't feel so unique now, now that they're doing a similar thing for Gen 8.

Marshadow is Gen 7's main mythical. I'd include him.

TL;DR: Stole some of my art (a port, technically) changed a small setting, claimed it as his own, told all his fans, everyone thinks im a crybaby, and he told me to go to hell. Good times
