I saw that they're making some "Cable Guy" figure for Banjo-Kazooie, and the guys making the figure have made other figures to coincide with a character's new game - and probably only new games, I haven't seen any examples of other figures they've made that they released standalone.

Might mean nothing but I hope we at least get a Switch version of Rare Replay.

a lot of 'exclusives' on the XBO went to PC about a month after release, i think 95% of the sales went to a combination of CoD and the sports games

I don't know; they seem to be easing out of it (what with most if not all of the Halo series, their biggest exclusive, coming to Steam, and all of their consoles being sold at a loss and taking years to turn a profit), but I can't imagine that they'd jump out of it so quickly. They might drop out at some point, but I wouldn't think they'd announce it at E3 - that would be like what happened with the Final Fantasy XV livestream (where they held a livestream to announce that they weren't going to continue making DLC for the game), only on a much grander scale. The backlash would be huge.

If Banjo & Kazooie make a comeback, i’ll be super hyped.

I do want to caution folks, because while this could hint at some sort of revival of the series or characters, there is still no reason to assume there’s a Smash connection.

If there’s a connection to Smash, and they get revealed at E3, three that’s epic and i’ll love every second of it. But there simply isn’t any reason to make that connection just yet.
I could let people have their fun, but I get the feeling that “fun” is going to turn into salt later on, so I just want to make sure I said it.

the 'nintendo list' was probably third parties that have stuff in the pipeline that nintendo knows about even if they don't directly have a hand in it, so i'm pretty sure he'd know

joker has his p5 royal grappling hook/something to do with kasumi at some point in time
erdrick is supposedly part of a DQ western push, and DQ11S is a big title for switch this year

I think Banjo-Kazooie could be in Smash (I hope so or at least Steve) but I'm not gonna expect anything more than a Switch version of Replay (maybe with DK64 and whatnot) or Microsoft getting people to nostalgia-pander for them but they also have B-K on the demo-things in stores so I hope it all means something...

It could, but I think it more likely means that they are seeing more money to be made in software sales (they're pretty much multi-plat anyway with PC) and that Nintendo occupies a different enough niche in the market to make it viable for cross-platform play.

I think they might stop having the physical console business be their main thing, but they still seem pretty invested in the Xbox brand. MS just recently promoted Phil Spencer to be one of the top dogs. I think the XBox as a console will continue to exist.

weird how they announced a dark souls port in that mini direct last year, then another dark souls port in the march direct last year, then ANOTHER one in the nindies direct a couple of months ago
