I really don’t like that they keep the starter evolutions a secret for so long. This will be a major factor in wether or not I even buy this game.

We might get the second forms, but I doubt the final evos. They're likely trying to save some stuff closer to release, just like they usually do.

To be fair if they get that right it isn’t necessarily because they have info but that comes from the biggest leak going around right now

If they seriously make the concept of Missingno into an actual pokemon, I think that would earn back a lot of fan favor for Game Freak, even though tons of people would still be mad about National Dex.

I mean the biggest example would be Jon, who named the exact Final Fantasy ports coming to Switch when that was revealed. He claims that was a complete guess.

And you know what? I... actually believe him. They have mentioned they get some info from talking with insiders, as they did with the Grinch leak (that's the one example that's confirmed), so there's no reason to hide it. And with Greg from Kinda Funny Games, he's admitted when he knows info, he doesn't use that info when making predictions/speculating, and has to come up with examples from things he doesn't know. I think GameXplain is the same way--when they do know info, they don't speculate about it. It's professional. And when RogersBase was asked about Jon's predictive power, he said while it's a possibility, and he admitted it's really weird he would guess that stuff correctly, Roger thinks it's just lucky guesses.

So given that they have been clear that they sometimes get info, and the professional thing to do is to not speculate on things they know about in advance, and those close to them think it's lucky guesses--I think they're lucky guesses.

Just bought Dead or Alive 6 and the new Samurai Shodown. I figure as a fighting game fanatic, I should keep up with new releases in the genre. I’ll play through them after I finish the God of War series. Then I have Crackdown and DuckTales to play.

As for the Pokémon video tomorrow... gotta day I’m not super excited. We’re probably not going to see anything significant and I still won’t know if I actually want to buy it or not.
