In terms of Namco characters.... yeah. He is. He’s a fighting game character with a new installment on the market right now. And kind of fits in with Smash’s established feel.

Man I'd love for Nightmare although I'm still betting on Lloyd being the Namco pick and among my predictions.

What I'd love about Nightmare is his design alone and being the first 3rd party villain to boot. Plus it'd return the favor of Link being in the GameCube exclusive version of Soulcalibur II.

I was just watching PapaGeno's current video and he has the same DLC predictions as mine except he just said rather then Jill he said a Resident Evil rep.

I'd question Nightmare fitting in with smash's "feel". The way I see it, the Soul Calibur franchise and world is fairly removed from smash all things considered, even console wise with Link as the obvious exception. I doubt all the DLC will be THAT left-field either, Erdrick isn't exactly what I'd call some super unexpected out there pick when you look at the Dragon Quest franchise.

You can use my template. I have two versions: One that's just like mine (but with my name taken out) and one completely blank:

Thank you! I’ll be sure to credit when using it. I’ll post it probably by tomorrow maybe tonight if I get my other work doing before tinkering with this. I wanted to make one for the fun of it.

Why is Tales so popular in Smash speculation? I've got nothing against it but I never hear about the series outside of the context of smash and I find it strange.

Sakurai said that if he wanted a Tales character he would pick Lloyd implying he's a possibility in the first place, coupled with Tales getting a mii costume, being cut from the game entirely in Ultimate, and being one of Namco's best selling franchises overall. Lot of people think Namco is getting soemthing this time around and Tales seems like a likely pick.

Its a popular RPG series that has quite a few good to great entries, close history with Nintendo and Symphonia was one of the most prominent JRPGs on the Gamecube.

Namco-Bandai developed Smash Bros., and outside of Tekken, the Tales series is one of their more prominent franchises. It's no Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Pokemon, or Persona, but it's a series that's been running for quite a while.

Not to mentioned it used to be a 2d side-scroller action rpg (well the battles). Maybe that connected with players who like smash. I know i like the series, tough i havent played one in quite a while.

A few things:

1) I always get excited for E3 as an event. Nintendo brings the most hype for me obviously, but I just love the time of year when you can look forward to new things being announced.

It’s especially fun because I can either meet up with friends to watch (and make fun of) different presentations or get hype as ****.

I will be working during the Nintendo presentation unfortunately, so I will have to either assign the students work on their own time or just have it on so I can take a peek every few minutes.

2) Dragon Quest is at least one of my bets for E3. I feel if there’s a second one, it’ll be a tease like the Joker video.

I feel the picks will be very deliberate in being different from one another to approach a variety of fanbases and being unique series to Smash. That’s personally why I think Resident Evil has an amazing shot at getting a character.

I would still advise to reel in expectations of Banjo or any other western. While I don’t know what to expect this year, I just think we should be taking this one reveal at a time and not potentially set ourselves up for disappointment.

>Tekken is more or less probably out because of several factors right now(Heihachi's VA being deceased and the character is more or less likely to be dead, the general issues of implementing Tekken's gameplay into Smash, and Heihachi being in Pac-Man's sprite)
>Sakurai mentioned that Smash helps advertises less popular series, so like Dragon Quest would benefit from Smash, Tales would benefit as well.

My expectations for e3 are already sort of nil anyway, so I’d like to think at the very least it’ll be ‘eh, as expected’ for me. Would like X9 but they’re going to announce those leaked mobile games instead, so the most I can hope for is a battle network collection.

I remember one E3 being so bad for a friend of mine, he got up from his chair and yelled, "E3? More like Yeet3, get that empty **** out of here."

He then proceeded to have a full cup of Sprite dumped on his head by his girlfriend.
