@Fatmanonice swears up and down it has nothing to do with Pokemon due to Sabi's disgust over the National Dex, so Corviknight seems unlikely, but could it be? Seems redundant since we know everything about Corviknight now, why leak something that's public knowledge?

If we're not getting a Direct until September at the earliest, why leak this now if it's related to Smash?

If the Breed means nothing, and the House actually means something, then Edelgard seems the most 'likely' choice.

If it's 'just' the bird and the house is a coincidence, then it could mean a lot of things.

If **** like color and breed play into it then god damn we got a lot of ground to cover.



This is why this """"""""LEAK""""""" is frustrating. There's NOTHING we can gain from it due to how vague it is, but human nature causes it to eat at us because it'll be so ****ing obvious in hindsight. It's a hint, but as of this current time, it's a terrible hint.

It’s actually Sabi’s Nintendo source, or was her source, but he still hangs out in their private discord.

This is all I know based on Fatmanonice’s posts:

-The source likes to tease them with hints if it’s related to something most of the people in their discord are open about liking. This is why Fatmanonice doesn’t think it’s Resident Evil or Sword/Shield (maybe something else but I’m not sure). This is also why he thinks it’s possibly Geno.
-The bird is a starling, which has brown, green, and what seems to be purplish coloring; this is also noticeable in the image.
-I’m not sure if it was confirmed that the image was taken by the source himself, but they couldn’t backtrace it so *shrug*
-The source mainly likes first and second party Nintendo games, so he has only given leaks or hints for those; he’s also a Nintendo employee from what I’ve gathered. The image has to be for Smash or something new regarding a Nintendo series, then.

Now I wait for an image of an egret and a snake :olimar:

We back to that bird leak? Considering we don’t even have any guarantees that it’s related to Smash at all, i don’t think it’s worth dwelling on right now. It could even just be this “source” teasing him with nothing. Because there’s no real information in it. So they could just be laughing as we speculate in circles.

Have you never played it? You can get different cheeses in the game. When you use them in battle, Guv shares them with Munchie and different effects happen; like healing the party a little bit or spewing out fire.

I feel like, from what Fatmanonice has said, the source wouldn’t tease them for nothing and keep acting like it is, in fact, a tease; he doesn’t seem like a troll from what he’s said, just a “fun” guy. They even have his personal info.

Of course the image is vague so I’m just trying to not speculate about it.

It's why I don't like hint leaks in general. Either you think people should know and spill it, or you think people shouldn't know and zip it. I'm fine with leakers who take either approach. Hint leaking comes across to me as egotistical--"I know and I'm gonna play games with you," and unnecessarily gives people false hope.

Some people like hint leaks, though, so whatever floats their boat. :upsidedown: I'm just not gonna give it much attention.

To be fair, the hints are likely just meant for their private discord, but he allows them to share I guess. Fatmanonice has said that he’s straight-up said things before, but when it’s something most of them like then he likes to tease them.

I’m fine with them, if there are enough that you can price it together Sherlock style. That’s actually pretty fun. But that’s not what this is. It’s just... I know this person is probably just having fun.... but this is trolling.

The fact that he took the picture himself makes me think he's just trying to get people interested in his bird-watching hobby by saying it's a hint.

Apparently, they don't care about FE ot third-parties, and it's likely not SwSh because they're on the "Bring back National Dex!" wagon. So literally every obvious answer is supposed to be a "No."

Granted, it could easily be one of these things. Fatmonice is a Geno supporter, so he's naturally trying to rule these out to make his case stronger.

Personally though, I don't even think this is related to Smash.

That's honestly why I'm just ignoring it for now. It is a hint towards something, but that something is so completely vague that it feels like we're just blindly running around chasing cars with no idea what we'll get when we catch one. Unless we get something that at least clarifies what it's for (like if it's even Smash related) I don't feel like driving myself crazy over it.

There hasn't ever really been a consistent group of highly speculated characters. Ever since pre-Brawl the most prominent characters have switched in and out with each other over time, with characters like Mega Man, Palutena, Mewtwo and the like all being cycled into the top tier of speculation at some point in time. Even Ridley, the most consistent of the group, had a lull going into Smash 4 DLC, and the others have had large stretches of time where the attention on them dipped largely.

Now that Mewtwo, Ridley, and K. Rool (and I guess Banjo too) all are in Smash, I don't really think there's anyone left who's popular enough to warrant receiving a title like "One of the 'Big Four'", or something like that.

The only character I've seen who's able to stir up a noticeable reaction from almost all fans is Waluigi, and there's no telling how we can separate the sincere fans from the memers.
