I discovered yesterday that I'm rusty in Ultimate and it's pretty freaking embarassing.

I haven't played Ultimate in so long, my skill must be rusty as all hell.

It’s that I specifically feel unhappy. There are a few things that make me happy, like that MK trailer that just dropped, but they don’t last.

Do you know the source of this unhappiness? It’s a deceptively simple question that doesn’t need to be answered all the way, but trying to identify the source helps, at least with me it does.

Also remember that it’s perfectly normal to not feel happy all the time. Happiness is but one of many emotions and should not be put upon a pedestal.

I've seen some of your posts here, and yeah, they do appear to be pessimistic.

But waking up unhappy doesn't make you a pessimist.

well if you are like me and always expect nothing will work out the way you want, expect dissapointment and expect the worst, then yes, you are a pessimist.

Thing is Im only a pessimist to SAVE myself from disappointment if nothing goes the right way. Like with animal crossing. way #1: Say it wont show up, it doesnt show up, Im happy I saved the myself disappointment. way #2: Say it doesnt show up, it shows up, Im extremely happy

Not sure what I can say that would help. You've woken up unhappy and you don't know why. You might as well hand me a lead connected to a donkey and tell me, "good luck".

I wake up unhappy all the time, but I have identified my reason. What you're gonna have to do is find the source to your problem before you can find a solution to fixing it. That's all the advice I can spare, bud. And i hope you find out what it is.

Ok well we identified one source of unhappiness, the current state of the world and the feeling of hopelessness. Could you specify what exactly with world that makes you feel unhappy. It may seem obvious, but I don’t want to make assumptions.

While this year feels like it’s going by real fast, last E3 felt like it was eons ago.

Probably on a month by month basis. They’ve had some development problems as of late, so I think they’re just gonna show them when their ready. Instead of doing those cutscenes like they have in the past.

I'm not sure if the reasons why adults perceive time faster than children have research put into them (the answer is "more than likely"), but I've heard the theory that time seems to proceed faster for people as they age because they have more memories, meaning the proportion of time "one day" personally represents for you gets smaller.

For a 2 year old child, 1 year makes up half their life, but for a 30 year old adult, one year makes up 3% of their life.
Basically I'm saying that the years start coming and they don't stop coming.
